Thanks David. I too believe he needs to confess his sins in order to be forgiven. However, it's not really my place to say what God will or will not do. I often wonder if that is why one person will stay in prison longer then others before they are put to death. God knows their heart and maybe he is giving them the time needed to repent??? Who knows.

I know no one wants to think that maybe someday an evil murderer can make it to heaven but as humans we don't know what Gods plans are.

I do pray that every victim will one day be able to let go of the anger inside them and truely remember only happy things when it comes to their loved ones. It's a hard hard thing for anyone to do.

So much time is spent on taking care of the killer that so much hatred and anger clouds the loving memories of the person that was murdered. To me, that is the saddest part. If we could just throw these killers in a blocked off cell and never allow them any human contact then maybe we could all stop thinking about them.

I mean who cares what their life is like or if they even alive. Let them live alone with their thoughts to rot. They have given up all rights to having any type of life when they killed another human.

Or at least they should.

I wish I could change the hearts of everyone in prison and make them confess, give up the appeals and allow the victims family to move on. Sadly I can't.

But you know, some people go to the bar to meet people, some people go to the beach to meet people, some people join a sports club to meet people, some people go to the library to meet people, some people go to Death Row to meet people and fall in love. I never went to dr to "look for love". I already wrote why I wrote in the first place. Again, sounds like a lot of the time you assume things that just is not true.

Oh and I do not think you have work at love. How sad for you to think that. Love is a natural thing. Jesus did not just go to the ones that were so easy to love and befriend. He went to the sinners. Even one of his own followers was a murderer.

People can change. I beleive that 100%. However, that does not give any excuse for anyone who commited murder. You won't find anyone who believes that if you do the crime you do the time, more then me.

As I stated before, I'm not so sure about the dp. I am still up in the air about that. I guess that just means I'm not as quick to judge and play God as you Joseph. For that I'm thankful.

However, I also have not said I think the dp should be stopped. I'm just not sure at this point in my life.

I have several good relationships here with intelligent, thoughtful, empathetic antis. None of them write murderers, have ever written murderers, or condone the practice of writing murderers. Nor do they insult the reader's intelligence in blithely describing a ruthless, brutal murder as a "mistake."
