Most likely when his term ends. I doubt even 8 years is enough to recover from Dubya's crapstorm.

Crimes like those I believe should have the offenders sentenced to life in prison. In the case of rape, castrate them.

Personally I see no problem with how these POSs are being treated. Their victims probably got a lot worse. Why should they live in luxury after their victims are in the ground? It's a human rights issue. The standard is that prisoners have a right to medical care and reasonable . Then just do the bare minimum. You are on death row, not in a 5-star hotel. You get the bare minimum and that is it.

I believe that they should get the death penalty when they are 12 and 13, but be executed at 18.

The quicker we get rid of this POS, the better it will be for everybody. I just wish that he could be executed twice.

Its funny how women want everything to be equal in life, but when it comes to the death penalty, they are fine with only 12 people being executed out of 1311 men executed.

He should be able to have as meaningful relationship with his family as he allowed Ronald Johnson. What is it about these killers that think they deserve more than they gave their victims? I assume it has something to do with the fact that they believe that they have been redeemed and deserve a lot more because of it. Despite the fact that their victims will never have a relationship with their family members again.

When he does get executed, do you think he'll choose the chair or the needle?

Good. No reason why a single drug would be declared cruel and unusual. You just get the drug and you fall asleep.

Even if all the other states all abolish the death penalty, Texas will probably still keep on executing strong. And maybe Virginia also.

Too bad Ohio no longer has the electric chair. But lethal injection is just as good.

If somehow this murdering cow is able to dodge the needle, I will lose all faith in the justice system. She is the poster child for the DP. Not only did she go overboard, but she is trying to do everything that she can to avoid the death penalty. Hook up up, and then start the injection machine. She needs to go.

Can't wait until Edward Schad gets his in Arizona. He murdered a defenseless 74 year old just to get his car. He may not be the worst of the worst, but I have a special hate for people that go after kind elderly people who possibly can't defend themselves.

Obviously not, thought I would like to have the DP as a fall back if they kill in prison after being sentenced to LWOP. They have nothing to lose, so if you kill in prison at the very least, you should execute the scumbag. I never got giving someone multiple life sentences, since you only have one life to life. If you kill in prison after getting LWOP, warm up the lethal injection machine.

If the kid is seriously psycho, lock him in a mental institution until he is the minimum age for the DP. Then if he is still cray-cray, get the needle. you can't do that. if he is truly, legally insane, he's not culpable to begin with Then screw the mental institution, lock them in juvie. If they kill again after that, then its time to start thinking about a Potassium Chloride cocktail.

I haven't heard anything about Colorado trying to abolish the death penalty. The spotlight seems to be on Maryland at the moment.

I tremble at the thought that you hold the president's "special trust and confidence." No more and no less than G Dubbya. As far as I am concerned obamas policies are a continuation of the last administration, for what its worth. My mindset about that it it takes a long time to fix 8 years worth of crap that we went through with Dubya, so we shouldn't expect miracles.

Speaking of James Holmes, does anybody know if they are gonna go for the death penalty? The last execution of Gary Lee Davis was 16 years ago, and he gave up his appeals.

3 accused in triple-homicide plead not guilty Comments 1 March 4, 2013 3:26 pm By Amanda Milkovits
PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Two teenagers and a convicted felon pleaded not guilty Monday to the murders of three people in Providence last summer. Russell Burrell, 17, his friend Quandell Husband, 16, and acquaintance Timothy "Beeper" Debritto, 27, appeared separately before Superior Court Judge Robert Krause in arraignments on charges including murder. Krause ordered all three held without bail. Debritto is already serving a 50-year sentence at the Adult Correctional Institutions on a different shooting. A fourth man, Donovann Hall, 19, pleaded guilty Friday to arranging the robbery that led to the murders of Shemeeka Barros, 22, her boyfriend Michael Martin, 23, and their friend Damien Colon, 22. Burrell and Husband are accused of botching the robbery and shooting all three in Barros' apartment. Police haven't commented on Debritto's alleged involvement.

Altogether, only 12 women have been executed in the United States. If she gets the needle, that will go a long way to making the death penalty have equality for both genders.
Ironically, Texas is tied with Oklahoma when it comes to executing women. They have three altogether. Although, Oklahoma was a lot quicker with their executions, doing them 15 years after they were convicted. Texas took 17 years.
