I just love how Murderpedia says that one of his victims was just "A Man" with no name.

Connecticut hasn't touch anybody in half a decade. Its a shame really, that gurney is just looking for death. And it looks almost like the federal gurney in Terre Haute.

1977! It is taking this long to kill the SOB. I cannot fathom why it takes more than 30 years to go through all of the processes to finally get justice. How in the hell does it take 30 years to figure out all the appeals. In my opinion only one year should be required for his attornies to go through and find what they believe are trial errors and make the appropriate appeals. It should not take 30+ years, and now that it is being delayed more. I am sick and tired of these tactics by the defense attornys that want to spare these guys lives. Kill this guy now now now! Forget years, you should run out of your appeals in several months or at least just one year.

Can't you get a choice between a 1 or 3 drug cocktail?

Too bad SD doesn't have either the gas chamber or the chair. What a pity.

If he was, he should be locked up in a mental institution for the rest of his life. If he wasn't, I'll mix the cocktail myself.

The sad part is at some point, Rhines will be the only person on South Dakota's death row. Wouldn't it be great if the reason for this was because they'd executed every other murderer? Not if he is the only one not executed.

Speaking of Eric Robert, he killed RJ Johnson last year in 2011. Did he waive all of his appeals?

I thought that they always do executions using the right arm? (At least that's what I saw on ever single show that had an execution)

Ohio was able to fit lardass Richard Wade Cooey on their tiny ass gurney. Of course, it didn't help that his last meal (or feast) was a T-bone steak with A-1 sauce, onion rings, French fries, four eggs over easy, toast with butter, hash browns, a pint of rocky road ice cream, a Mountain Dew soft drink and authentic bear claw pastries from the bakery.

About SD. Don't they have a choice between a one-drug, two-drug and three-drug cocktail?

Texas, Virginia, Oklahoma, Florida and Missouri are the 5 states that have executed the most people. Texas has 488, Virginia has 109, Oklahoma has 100, Florida has 73 and Missouri has 68. Though most of Missouri's executions were when they were using Fred Leuchter's injection machine. Still, the difference between Texas and Virginia is big. 379 more inmates.

It's still a death sentence, essentially - only difference, is that he'll die from natural causes. Thus, I fail to see the problem. He's still dead in the end, so why bother? Because we don't know how long it will take for him to die.

Though, if an escaping prisoner did step on a landmine and didn't die, at least he would be unable to kill again.

Its also such a shame that the soft-hearted Antis over in Europe are trying to force the US to abolish the DP. The drug that killed Michael Jackson isn't gonna be given to prisons with the DP.

Repeal the death penalty and you have that many more murderers pleading to second degree murder rather than first degree murder, which means LWOP will cease to exist. And you know once they get rid of the DP, the soft-hearted Antis will be gunning for LWOP and then saying that 25 to life is too "excessive"

Lethal Injection. I don't know what it is but there is just something about an infusion machine pumping a lethal cocktail into a POS's IV line that I like. Plus it takes away the "heroic" status of anything else. That is an interesting take on it. True it does take away the prisoner's ability to be hardcore and make some sort of statement. I would like it better if were in a wooden chair, in stead of a commercial off the shelf operating table. I would rather it look like punishment versus a medical procedure. One thing is for sure I could care less if it hurts them. No one said the method has to be painless, nor does it require them to be comfortable. Well, it actually did look less like a procedure when there was a big ass machine glaring you down with 8 syringes in it injecting drugs in your IV line.

It makes me sick that the assmunch got out after serving 2/3s of his sentence, but what makes me even more sicker is this:
What a *windbag*.

And that is why the UK needs to have the death penalty brought back to the country, to stop scum like this.
