I think this guy is awesome, I wish we could do those kind of executions here. So you should have naturalized him after the war like you did with other naziscum, that could be useful. Wernher von Braun....

Just another National Socialist murderer. Hopefully, people who read about him will become aware of the White Rose. As far as numbers go, probably several of Stalins socialist henchmen outdid him.

We all may end up like that in the future. Maybe, but in the meantime you can thank the creative genius of the innovator for keeping you out of the cave and advancing civilization.

The first thing that came to my mind is the personal price the executioner pays for conducting his duty for the state. some years ago I read an article on the board about an executioner from Texas who one day got a nervous breakdown a day after performing an execution.
I must admit, sadly, that we the pros tend to disregard the consequences of the executions on the guys who perform them for us. Their ghastly job takes its toll from them and their personal lives are ruined forever.
For me, an executioner is kind of a combatant soldier who has to kill the civil enemies of the people he serves. To be an executioner one need to have the ability of a combatant soldier, and that is to be tough enough to protect the community by killing its enemies. Plain and simple.

The following link about Sing Sing gives great insight into what you posted above. www.trutv.com/library/crime/notorious_murders/famous/sing_sing/12.html

A few British hangmen hit the bottle after their careers ended. Even the great Pierrepoint changed his tune in his final years.
Pierrepoint kept his opinions to himself on the topic until his 1974 autobiography, Executioner: Pierrepoint, in which he wrote:
It is said to be a deterrent. I cannot agree. There have been murders since the beginning of time, and we shall go on looking for deterrents until the end of time. If death were a deterrent, I might be expected to know. It is I who have faced them last, young men and girls, working men, grandmothers. I have been amazed to see the courage with which they take that walk into the unknown. It did not deter them then, and it had not deterred them when they committed what they were convicted for. All the men and women whom I have faced at that final moment convince me that in what I have done I have not prevented a single murder.

I would then have to ask him how many people he has executed "twice"
