I'll let Joe explain the reasons why he supports the DP. He might have different views than mine. Just wanted to let you know what mine are.

He displays clearly unresolved anger problems that stem from his mother and their relationship. The whole DP thing for Joe is a clear projection for him. Thats explains the extremes he displays that even pro's recognise as such. Whoever his therapist is, they are ripping him off. If it was the NHS by now they'd have simply concluded the input was not achieving much.

Your views and mine about the DP are pretty close, if not the same. There's only so much society can tolerate from a criminal before it throws in the towel. Bernie Mac said it best about murderers: gotta GO gotta GO!

If anything, your post only displays how much you really don't have any idea what your talking about. The subject is about how you feel about the DP.Not your own personal negative bull shite, that none of us here really want to hear. Grow up Felix, and stick to the subject.

You are easily amazed John. It might be a shock to you but until quite recently I did work full time in the mental health arena, so its not really a case of wanna be anything. Joe's ample postings give more than enough information about which I can make an informed comment/observation. I must say its very cute the way you come to his aid, no doubt you feel sorry for him whilst I dont. I think he's got many issues elsewhere and thinly disgises his anger by pretending its to do with the subject of perps, iot sgoes deeper and further back than that with old Joe. BTW, since when did you become a spokesperson for what everyone here wants to and does not want to hear? Did you achieve that position on the basis of your own single vote?

I feel safer already...good luck with your new job... LOL, when you back from Iraq? I'm actually in Afghanistan. The base I'm on has a MASH unit here that has Air Rescue. They fly in Black Hawk helicopters and are escorted by Apache helicopters as wingmen. You don't want to mess with them Apache's, but the taliban shoot at them even during rescue mission. They have no obligation to "Rules of Engagement" or " Geneva Convention" my close friend was a medic who was killed trying to help the wounded. All the US & Coalition troops even help the wounded, wether their allies or terrorist. Its just the humanitarian thing to do. But al-qaida is'nt that humanitarian in their warfare. They'll cut your head off the first chance they'd get. I was on a mission last month were 4 local Afghan's were beheaded and their hands & feet cut off. These terrorist are bastards even to their own kind. Nobody's safe with al-qaida around...Nobody.

In my opinion if you want o win this one long term you need to put your basic instincts on hold and use your head.

You are easily amazed John. It might be a shock to you but until quite recently I did work full time in the mental health arena, so its not really a case of wanna be anything. Joe's ample postings give more than enough information about which I can make an informed comment/observation. Felix, is it just possible the reason you still don't work in the mental health field is because you don't understand what an ethical violation it is to give a diagnosis (over the 'net, yet) for a patient you haven't even examined?

What "diagnosis"? I have not gievn a professioanl doagnosis for Joe at all, I have remarked on his inconsistencies, based on his 25000+posts, and I think you will find the term *deleted* is not a professional diagnosis, I know you wont find it in the ICD10!

I think it should be placed into history so that we can all move on and be civilised. Felix, your on form . The exchange with the squaddy, interesting . I agree with Brum on the this one and the squaddy, a good terrorist is s dead terrorist. As an ex squaddy it is better to shoot them dead, preferably in the stomach so that they bleed to death slowly and in pain while you sit there and have your compo and just wait and watch its lifeforce die. Their scum, period. Fu=ighting for faith and the Muslim way. ARSE. Their just murdering scum. Your argument doesnt stand regarding recruitment and support. These guys just need to be taken out preferably up close and personal during close quarter combat then returning to base with nearly fully extinguished clips , god i missed the 7.62. left a little entrance hole at the front and pure carnage at the back . One or two jackets and their dead, 5.56 you need a hole bloody clip if its a big fit bloke.

I prefer it to remain so we can stay barbarians, much better people bararians, you always know where you stand with them. Screw civilization, that is a lawyers world and even when you are right you do not know where you stand. Your argument doesnt stand regarding recruitment and support. I stand correct DEE, yes for these guys i would remain a barbarian. Most murder is creed and envy. These scummers kill without any distiction between combatant and civilian. Car bombs, roadside bombs, suicide bombers, torturers. Yep i would gladly remain a barbarian if it makes the world a safer place. Muderers, some anyway, can be rehabilitated over time with care and released back into society. Im not talking about hardcore murderers who dont give a crap etc etc. Im talking about those who in all but their act were normal caring participating members of society that were pushed over the edge by anger, rage or similar. The rest can rot in prison Sorry DEE, this is my belief and opinion. To some its hypocritical like my acceptance of the DP for child murderers, molesters and rapists.

You keep mentioning anger, rage and that kind of murder, those are not normally DP cases, unless they plotted and thought it through then killed the person. Generally speaking a murder must be one that in the commission of another crime or is pre-meditated. I see nothing redeemable about these people. There are a few other reasons but they generally fall in those two catagories.
