en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wanda_Beach_Murdersremember the victims of the Wanda Beach murders - Christine Sharrock and Marianne Schmidt. The murders are still unsolved, but police have not still given up. This was a crime that had a marked effect on Australian Society. It was one of the crimes, that marked the period where Australia was no longer a safe and carefree society. I grew up in the area of Sydney known as the Shire, and my parents would take us to Wanda Beach from time to time. It was a long sprawling beach with a large area of sanddunes that are many km's way from help. Its isolation is overwhelming. My parents were terrified of the idea of us venturing up into that area, due to what happened up in that the two girls. There are two POI - one being a youth described aged 15-20 years old, who was seen talking to the girls on several occasions. He was carrying a knife, and was seen with a spear while he was catching crabs. The other was an older man known to be anti social (and also considered a possible witness). Smart Money is on the youth catching crabs as the girls were sighted trying to avoid him at one point, by one of the girls younger brothers. Another witness sighted the girls walking across the dunes appearing to be rushing and one turning around to check if they were being followed.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beaumont_ChildrenIn Loving Memory of the Beaumont Children. Jane, Arnna and Greg Beaumont disappeared from Glenelg Beach. They are most likely the victims of a "Non Family Abduction" The only person of interest was a man they were seen playing with in a reserve next toe Glenelg beach. The last official siting was when they were purchasing lunch at a bakery where they paid with a 1 pound note. This fact is ominous because it is unknown where they obtained this money as their mother only gave them 8 shillings in coins. It is the Beaumont Tragedy that represents all missing children in Australia

August 9th would have been Laci's wedding anniversary. If that creep had respected his vows, she'd still be alive.

Every day is a struggle Every memory a reminder Every choice a torment every child a reflection
Kill them all , kill every child murderer that ever walked the earth. Ill do it , give me the authority and i will gladly trade my soul, just for the chance to save 1 child. Condemn me , cast me into the lake of fire , i do not care. just give me back what was taken.
just for 1 day

This is dedicated to a former high school classmate, Carly Martinez. We didn't hang out with the same groups of friends, but I knew who she was. In fact, she was friends with a guy I grew up with. The last time I had seen her was when she had stopped into chemistry class to say hi to our mutual friend. She was laughing and beaming with happiness. Graduation day came May 25, 1997 and we all took our next steps to adulthood. From what I understand, Carly started New Mexico State University. She never graduated though. I just want her to know that someone remembers. RIP Carly. --------------------------------------------------------------------- "Killers of El Paso Woman Receive Maximum Sentences Jesse Avalos and Jason Desnoyers, convicted of raping and murdering an El Paso woman, both received maximum sentences in April. Desnoyers, 24, received a life sentence plus 35 years, and he will not be eligible for parole until 47 years are served. Avalos received a life sentence plus 62 years, and he must serve 31 years before he can be considered for parole. Carly Martinez,18, disappeared from the campus of New Mexico State University in January of 1998, and her body was found in the desert outside of Las Cruces, New Mexico, with the assistance of Jesse Avalos in March of that year. Allegedly, she had gone out drinking with the two men and then they took her to the desert and raped her and stabbed her to death. The two convicted killers blamed the crime on each other. An earlier report in the Albuquerque Journal said that Desnoyers' parents owned a small maquila in Cd. Juárez, and that Desnoyers had worked there. Sources: El Diario, El Norte, El Paso Times, Las Cruces Sun News, Ms., Albuquerque Journal" www.nmsu.edu/~frontera/jun00/feat4.htmlwww.supremecourt.nm.org/pastopinion/VIEW/02sc-031.htmlwww.nmsu.edu/~ucomm/Panorama/dec98/foundation.htmlGovernor Richardson abolished the death penalty in NM. This is a case where, I feel, DP is appropriate. Attachments:

www.projo.com/specials/century/month10/scounty1.htmIn loving memory of Jason Foreman, who was brutally tortured and murdered by Michael Woodmansee who might be released from prison early for good behavior. Bah, if they do release them, I will lose all respect that I have for my state and move to Massachusetts or Connecticut. A really sickening bastard. Jason would have been about 41 years old if he was allowed to grow up.

Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman were just 10 years old on this day when they were murderedin Soham, England. Please remember the girls with Love "Sometimes it rolls in, as a gradual mist that makes for sad, reflective days; sometimes it descends as a thick fog, a blanket of pain and confusion. We accept that these feelings will be with us for the rest of our lives." Holly's father

I agree it will be there forever, they will miss them so much forever. And they never should have had to.

Are you referring to Ian Huntley? Whilst I personally would rather see him hanged for his crimes, he is locked up for life (he won't be freed) and spends every day in fear of getting stabbed in the eye again. He's been attacked a good few times. Im at least happy knowing he's scared every single waking hour And rest in Peace Tia Sharp

It was five years ago today that Sophie Lancaster was savagely beaten to death in Lancashire just for looking different to the thugs that attacked her. She dressed as a goth. RIP Sophie, and love to her family and friends

The two main defendents were sentenced to life imprisonment with the trial judge recommending that one should serve at least eighteen years and the other at least sixteen years and three months. The three other defendants one got four years and four months, and the pther two five years and ten months each.

In loving memory of Stephanie Roper, murdered April 3, 1982. Her car broke down and she was kidnapped by Jack Ronald Jones and Jerry Lee Beatty. They took her to an abandoned shack and raped and tortured her. She was killed after one of them used the name of the other, and fearing she could identify them they killed her by hitting her head with an iron chain, shooting her, then to hopefully keep the police from identifying the body they set it on fire after cutting off her hands.
These non-humans were given two life sentences. Should have been put to death in my opinion.
In October of this year Governor O'Malley had a portion of Route 4 renamed in her honor, and for the efforts of her parents, Vince and Roberta Roper, in championing the cause of victims rights.
Stephanie is buried close to my grandfather, so whenever I visit I pay my respects to her as well.

In loving memory of all of the little children and the teachers who died in the Sandy Hook elementary school shooting. Even if the murderer is dead, I still feel this is a reason why Connecticut should bring back the death penalty. Lives lost before they were lived.

Stephen Lawrence 20 years ago today Doreen Lawrence who founded the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust, said: "It is hard to believe that 2013 will mark 20 years since Stephen died. "This time last year we faced the conviction of two of Stephen's killers and the relief I felt then has stayed with me through the extraordinary year that was 2012. "Despite this, our focus has to be on the next 20 years. There is more to be done to get justice for Stephen and to ensure that no other family has to go through what we endured." Her book "And Still I Rise" is very powerful and harrowing which shows the strength of this lady.
