So between January 14th through the 29th, 8 convicted murderers are set for termination. Those could be some crazy weeks if all goes as planned. 6 of those deaths will be in Texas, one is set in Alabama, and one is scheduled in Oklahoma. Here is how it could play-out:
14 TX Curtis Moore 15 AL James Callahan 15 TX Jose Garcia Briseno 21 TX Frank Moore 22 OK Darwin Brown 22 TX Reginald Perkins 28 TX Virgil Martinez 29 TX Ricardo Ortiz
Of the above names, who will survive and what will be left of them?

There are two Martinezs' with a date. The other is David and is scheduled for February 4. One of them is meant to be insane, so expect a stay. Don't know whether it's David or Virgil. Ray

I hope no one of those scheduled for next year survives. All of them are just plain thugs who deserve to die. I'd like to see more thugs get the needle. if only we had an average of 30 scheduled per month the world would have been a better one to live. No doubt.
Anyway, Merry Christmas for all the honest and decent law abiding citizens.
As for the oncoming year of 2009, I wish a painful death followed by a one way ticket to hell to as many as possible death row inmates.

Why does it have to be a painful death for you?, isnt the execution enough. I dont doubt their guilt, but cannot understand the requirement for torture prior to death. Please explain it to me, do you get anything personally out of this, or is it just out of principal that pain must be part of an execution?

For me it's the psycological pain they have to endure while waiting to take their seat in the electric chair that makes the death penalty worthwhile. It's over in seconds but they suffer mentally leading up to the execution and so they damn well should. LI is so pathetic it's funny they ain't scared of that at all. If you research how many inmates ate their last meal when facing the chair as opposed to facing the needle.............well, you know that most facing the chair would be too shite scared to eat anything.

A double header is only a double header if it only occurs in the same state.

I find it rather odd when people who - thankfully - have no personal experience with murder get so excited about dr inmates suffering. In the US it is a necessary evil, no more, surely? There is no place for extra sadism; the penalty was handed down and will be performed, period.

They don't appeal voluntarily their greedy lawyers do it for them. Funny that you would call a working person greedy. A lawyer is under the obligation to represent his client's interests as best possible, which - in the case of a dr inmate - will probably include filing any appeals available.

Yes. They take advantage of their position. Thats what all smart people do.

Well lets just say - lawyer knows naughty man is guilty cos he confessed to him right? Lawyer puts on a pretence to the judge and jury that the man is innocent. Do you not see that as corrupt? Legally it may not be but there you go. It is.

I was confused because just a few threads ago you said that it was their greedy lawyers who filed all the appeals which were not needed. So whose fault is it all then?

Legally it may not be but there you go. It is. That would be against the law in Austria. Anyway, I suppose you would know about them all being corrupt because you seem to be very knowledgeable on this topic.

The greedy lawyers are the ones who file the appeals after the automatic ones. Duhh! Aileen Wournous was a notorious victim of greedy lawyer steven glazier.

It's perfectly legal as it's to do with client/lawyer confidetiality. Still morally corrupt though.
