thanks that helped out! do u know of any cases to where someone had lwop and got out and then killed again? or something like that!? im lookin for a story of someone did something awful to get put in jail and then because they were "good" and followed instructions, they were able to get out and then they killed(or whatever) again!?! im sure that prob. isnt to clear but idk. i just need help!! i was reading that kids speech outline and it was pretty good, i just dont want to get the God view in it! not because im not a christian, or i dont believe i just dont want to go that way. and with my speech i cant veiw both sides, its why or why not i believe the dp is fair/good. any ideas on how i should present it? like a good story like i mentioned!? im just not sure how i can persuade a class when i have no facts to back myself up!?! thank you!

In NC, in 1985, a young 13 year old girl lay sound asleep dreaming peacefully in her bed. Sometime that night, her neighbor, Joe Atkins, a man who had already served a 10 year sentence for murder, creeped into her bedroom, armed with a machete, a shotgun, and a pistol and shot her. He then went on to murder his own 75-year old adoptive father, who had helped to persuade parole officers to let him out early from his “life sentence” for murdering his half brother.
