Hi, I am researching about the topic "collecting letters from death row" is it true that people honestly collect them and that there are even web pages for exchanging these letters or buying them?" If yes what is the intention behind collecting such letters? What does it give to the collectors? I understand the collecting of stamps but why letters from death row? The Anti section reacted very angry about my questions and I did not really get any answer so I hope to find out more on this board.

Look on eBay. I hear they sold toenail clippings of DR inmates on there not long ago. Seriously.

I mean I do not judge people who buy it I just want to know why they do this. I mean I would not do it myself but I think the topic is quiet interesting what people think by buying these things.

Why wouldn't you judge people who exhibit such disgusting behavior? They are profiting from the misery of the people who were murdered and their families.

Actually they do not hurt anyone and since I want to write an article about it I have to think objective.

How can you write an article of any length entitled "Why People Collect Items from Death Row Inmates?" Two words are all that is necessary......"They're nuts." The title would be longer than the article itself if I were writing it. Lisa

Actually I would not do it and probably to me personally they would not be friends, thats for sure but I want to show both sides. As I do not understand them and many others dont do neither yet they do exist. Of course I understand those who say that it hurts them. I have interviewed a lot of victims families in the past. I am sorry if I said anything which was hurting anyone. Jeff

Hi Jeff. Do a web search for "murderabilia" and you should find lots of information, opinions and articles about your topic.

Actually they do not hurt anyone and since I want to write an article about it I have to think objective. Jeff having and "opinion" or "judging" someone does not mean you are not being objective. It means you have been objective, you've looked at the evidence and decided someone is an a$$hole, it's an objective observation. we all do it. it doesn't require some special right
