There is a link to "Books & Tapes" at the top of the home page. One of the best books on those pages is Victim: The Other Side of Murder by Gary Kinder. Here are some books that are not on the "Books & Tapes" pages: Dead Family Walking by D. D. de Vinci www.deadfamilywalking.com/The following books are out-of-print but can be found at low prices on internet book stores: Forgiving the Dead Man Walking by Debbie Morris Victims of Dead Man Walking by Michael L. Varnado Blood Echoes by Thomas H. Cook This last book is hard to find: Someone Else's Daughter by Julia Sheppard

I like this one: tinyurl.com/y3q8e4It gives equal time to the pro and anti arguments. Both sides are presented well and it's a good read.

There are a lot more con dp books I found out, and I think it is because the death penalty IS implemented so there has been less need for pro people to speak out. Not that that helps..

I doubt this is the reason...considering that there are plenty of countries without state-sponsored homicide. Fewer pro-death books might simply mean
a) there is no market for this kind of books b) there are fewer pro-death authors
- both of which might be true.

There are a lot more con dp books I found out, and I think it is because the death penalty IS implemented so there has been less need for pro people to speak out. Not that that helps.. Guy sits down to write "Why the Death Penalty Makes Sense!" and starts writing out the arguments one after the other. But then he finds that when he writes them out they don't really add up. But since he's already cleared the time, he perseveres in the hope that it will all make sense by the time he finishes writing... but it doesn't. At last his editor says "Why not change the title to "Why the Death Penalty doesn't make sense!" and then just put in everything you've discovered you can't get to work?" Pro author realizes that this is a good strategy and rather than waste the last 10 months of his life he just changes the title and alters the slant a little. Another anti book appears on the shelves.

Every true crime book is a prodp book. And considering their popularity, the death penalty is here to stay.
