Ima said, I'm still married. Why? Well, a few reasons. One is I have no desire to date anyone right now let alone get married so why spend the money? Two, I can't afford it. Three, if I got divorced it would just open him up to getting someone else to marry him and it would destroy her life too. But, most of all, I made a vow to God that I meant. So I don't think I should get a divorce. I'm going to give you my opinion. You are under no obligation to stay married to this man. Just because you made a vow, in my opinion, you made it under false pretenses. You thought he was innocent and he wasn't. God does not bound you to something like that. I'm sure if your are sorry God will forgive you. God is very forgiving. I know when Christ talked about marriage many take it that every marriage is valid and God wants you to stay. That isn't what he meant. Christ wasn't talking to women married to murderers or even a battered women's shelter. He was talking to men who had no regard toward women especially their wives. The man you married has no reagard for human life period. Do you think God really expects you to stay married? Just because you are divorced doesn't mean you have to date. It isn't a law that single people have to date. Take care.

I have been praying about this to see what God really wants me to do. I'm sure when I know what he wants I will get the divorce. Right now there really isn't a reason to do so. One he has no contact with me and doesn't know where I am. If I file he will have that info. Two, I have no desire to date now. Three he can't get married to anyone else until he gets the money to file for a divorce and I doubt if he will ever be able to do that. If he mets someone who pays I will do my best to talk to her and tell her what I know so hopefully she will not make the same mistakes I made.

I apprecriate the fact that you want to save another woman. Realize, however, that he doesn't have to marry to use another woman. A woman may help him thinking he's been wronged by you. If he is going to use someone he'll use them anyway he can, married or not!

May God bless you Snowy, you are a better person than I and you addressed Ima's statements about her vows to God from your heart and with respect. Thanks for the example. I commend you for that and hope that you come back soon and grace the rest of us as well.
