I am in my mid twenties first semester in college, and of course have to write 2500 word research argumentative paper. I am all for the death penalty but dont know how to put 2500 words together to make sense. An eye for and eye is toooo short. LOL

Go to your college library and ask for a series called "Opposing viewpoints." This series has various articles on many diverse subjects and can help you a great deal. Also, see if your library has electronic databases. Have your librarian show you how to use these and you will have plenty of information. If you need help, contact me off list...

;DDonnie: I have search a few of the links, I also have to attach a copy of all my work cited and my instructor is pretty picky on the sites we are able to use. Thank you though. I have been working on my paper for the last month and today just from reading all the post have whole heartdly helped my paper, and I came up with about 700 words just from the anger that has built up from reading all the post from the people that are against the dp.

I have been working on my paper for the last month and today just from reading all the post have whole heartdly helped my paper, and I came up with about 700 words just from the anger that has built up from reading all the post from the people that are against the dp. What about books? MOst of the anti-DP books are really quitee weak because the authors are either weak-minded or dishonest or both. So there is actually a wealth of argumentative pro-DP material in the anti-DP books. Helen Prejean is such an arrogant enemy of God that nobody would listen to her if she wasn't preaching to the converted. She makes some astonishing staements and admissions in Dead Man Walking. Scott Turow's book Ultimate Punishment is amazingingly dismissive of the concept of simple justice and of the suffering of murder victims. Books like that have to be read with careful attention to detail and an eye for subtle deception and carfully crafgted masquerades of irrational thought posing as reasonable arguments. Another good book is Forgiving the Dead Man Walking by Debbie Morris. There is nothing wrong with forgiving a truly repentant murderer before executing him. Of course he cannot be forgiven for the actual harm to the primary murder victim because the murderer always forcibly prevent that victim from forgiving anybody for anything.
