Try the "Articles and Interviews" link from the main menu of this very site (www.prodeathpenalty.com). There are a number of articles arguing for the death penalty that put it into words better than I can. Good luck.

Try also the death penalty links page, on the "Pro Death Penalty.com homepage" the links are divided into Pro, Anti etc etc.
Also, I suggest you try and collect your thoughts about your pesonal beliefs on this issue. This is an emotional issue, as you probably could see by some of the posts on this board. Try to develop a cognitive argument, and be able to back it up with acutal evidence, rather then making broad statements and hope everyone will agree. (When I did this in high school - I lost marks).

My name is Cassidy and I am a highschool student that is interested in the discussion of pro-death penalty. I have chosen to use this topic in an assignment that I have to do for school, and I would appreciate it if someone could help me. I need to find literature of at least one person who has fought for this law to be eligible in their state/country/region. A long with information regarding what inspired them to do so.

Help! I have a debate speech to write and I am Pro Death Penalty. I dont really have too muych info. need some now! You are pro-DP for a reason, kid. Write that reason down, and then ask yourself why? And then you write the answer down, underneath. Only you don't stop there. You ask yourself why you believe in your second statement. And then you write that down. You keep going until it suddenly hits you why you're right, and they're wrong. The rest will be easy. Good luck.

Hello aperson, Have you checked all the links that were suggested in the posts above yours? Joe's advice is very good too. You will need to figure out what parts you think are most important to the debate and back them up. If you want to get into the murderers that are released or paroled murdering again, the "Once a murderer" link has some very good examples of this happening. If you want to refute the innocence arguments, the "Innocence" link is a good one to review for guidance and getting started on the points you would think are most important. Here is a link that could give you some ideas if you want to go into the aspect of the DP being supported by Christianity: www.leaderu.com/orgs/probe/docs/cap-pun.htmlGood luck! Hope you do well!

If you would like to apply biblical laws to today's society, just tells us. We will happily reintroduce slavery, execute you for working on Saturdays, practicing birth control or being excessively curious. I hope you didn't have sexual relationships before marriage, otherwise we would be required to stone you to death. According to the Bible, women may not testify in court. If you're married, you may not leave your husband's home. In case your husband has some "concubines", don't criticize him - the Bible allows it. If a man rapes a virgin woman, the woman is forced to marry him. That sounds like justice, huh? Please don't reply to this posting, as the Bible forbids women to talk to strangers.

Sometimes you are just funny ANTI. I did not know if the student would want to look at a biblical perspective or not. Please note that I told them "if". I have known kids in private schools with religious affiliation that required their students to write papers on the DP and include that aspect of it, so it might be helpful in this student's case if that were the direction they wanted to take. I don't really know the Bible as well as some other people, but I don't know of any churches that preach the stuff you just said. ;D ;D

Well I was wondering where I could find out how much the death penalty cost per person and who needs to be there as a witness when the person charged is put to death?

On the home page, up on top, are numerous links to articles on the death penalty -- both pro and con. Just remember, though, the really intelligent, successful and extraordinary attractive people are pros. :)

The death penalty is right because someone might kill a person in your family, what would do?

Well, kid, it ain't like TV. The cops don't screech their tires when they stop, the detectives wear cheap suits, and there aren't many wisecracks like on Law & Order. You cannot even put into your universe the reality of murder.
