Deputy Marshall Bobby G. Thompson, of the Montgomery Police Department, Montgomery, Louisiana was murdered on June 1, 1995. Three young men in the small town we lived in approached Deputy Thompson during a rain storm asking for a ride to one of their homes. After allowing these persons to enter his vehicle Deputy Thompson was attacked by all three. His throat was cut with a box cutter, he was shot in the stomach with his own police handgun, then beaten in the head so hard with his gun he had severe head trauma.
These boys were 14, 15, & 18 years old. They had planned to kill a "Cop," rob him of his vehicle, his money, his gun and his life. My husband fought for his life that night and lost. There was a rap song written about the murder by one of the killers shortly after his arrest. One of these men is already back on the street.
Please help me stop this one from getting out. He comes up for parole on Dec. 7, 2006.
