Linda Ricchio will have a parole hearing in October 26, 2006 at Valley State Prison for women. In 1986, Ricchio murdered Ron Ruse, an ex-boyfriend, with two bullets to the back, after stalking and harassing him for months. The Probation Officer, prior to sentencing, said that Ricchio "stalked Ron like a hunter stalks his game." Prior to his murder, she took shooting lessons, then showed off her target to people in a bar. She secretly rented the apartment next door to Ron, a perfect place to hide, wait for him to come home from work in the dark and confront him while he was trapped on a balcony. All because he had broken off their relationship many months before. While in prison she married a correctional officer. She has not been disciplinary-free and was moved last year from from CIW to VSPW, a higher security prison.
In closing we would like you to know that Ron was kind, generous and often very funny. We loved him very much and we miss him every day. We will be deeply grateful for any assistance we receive in our efforts to keep his murderer in prison as long as possible.
Please ask the Board of Parole Hearings to deny Ricchio's parole and to give her the maximum amount of time, 5 years, which she deserves for her crime and for her behavior in prison. Thank you.
