Please sign and mail this letter Roderick Q. Hickman Secretary, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation 1515 S Street, Suite 502 Sacramento, CA 95814 Mr. Hickman, I am writing to you on behalf of a group of concerned citizens who are outraged at the coddling of the worst offenders, those that are on death row. In doing research on the death penalty we found a website where a inmate on Death Row in California is selling pornography under the guise of “erotic art”. While we don’t agree with the recent court rulings entitling inmates to have Websites we know we must accept it, however that ruling does not extend. The Website that this inmate, Melvyn Turner, is using to peddle his “art” is not age restricted in any way shape or form making it easily accessible to minors. This is both offensive and dangerous. This inmate is on death row, he is a threat to society and it is irresponsible to allow him to continue to endanger and take advantage of the public in the manner that he is at this time. The Website address is: ccadp.org/melvinturner-artwork.htm. We urge that you investigate this matter and take appropriate action, so that your inmates are not allowed to sell this material in the future. Sincerely
