Hello,
I came across this site while searching the internet about grief and homicide.
My chick-a-dee (as I called him) was murdered on June 12 in TN. He was shot for his wallet and left to die. By the time the police got there he was already gone. From what his family have told me, the suspect was recently released from prison for murder. Needless to say, the detective working his case is really trying to nail this person. But I have been wondering if TN has the death penalty? Does anyone know?
If they do, I will personally travel to TN and flip the switch myself. (I'm sure I would have to fight my sweeties brother for that, because he wants to do it)
It's incomprehensable how someone can just do something like that.
I've read several things thru this site and the story of those two girls...... that is so sad, I am so sorry. There is no rationale for things like that, or for what happened to my sweetie.
I truely think that this country has gotten soft. My dad who is a retired police sergent, retired when he did.... his reasoning was "the criminal has more rights than the victim" and that is so true. Why protect the criminal? they have no conscious otherwise they wouldn't do what they do. I am a firm believer in an eye for an eye. More-so now than ever.
Well thank you for letting me vent and if anyone knows where I can find info about the death penalty in TN, it would be gretly appreciated.

Yes, Tennessee has the death penalty but they never use it. Many people have been on that death row for over 20 years. Even if the guy did get the death penalty he wouldnt die until at least 2020 ( estimate).

Tennessee did execute one person, for the rape and murder of a 7 year old girl several years ago. This was the first execution since 1960.
