JEFFERSON CITY, Missouri (AP) -- The Missouri Supreme Court struck down the state's "alienation of affection" law, saying that "stealing" the love of a married person is an arcane legal doctrine. www.cnn.com/2003/LAW/06/18/marital.infidelity.ap/index.html-------- the above (adultery) should have a punishment EQUAL to murder.....i.e death for murder, death for adultery.....life for murder, life for adultery......according to the original Ten Commandments that said that "Thou must not Kill".......but todays Lawyers & Legal Experts think that the Earth is Flat......... Simple Pro Argument - "Taking a life is wrong, hence the person who kills also has to be killed" Well, there is Scientifically speaking nothing wrong or right with killing. The notion that killing was wrong originated from the East in Meospotamia over 9000 years ago (now the region between Iraq and India). The religions that originated here - Hinduism, Judiasm, Buddhism, Christianity and Islam all have in their dogmas that killing is wrong - as contrasted with the religions of the West like the Aztecs, Maya, Inca, Toltecs, Olmecs.....all which stated that there was nothing wrong in killing. The religions of the East which later spread throughout the world, especially Judaism from which the Ten Commandments arose - are the origins of all modern Laws, in addition to the stating that killing was wrong, also has the equally important notion that Adultery and Disobeying of Parents was a crime equal to killing, and thus imposed the same punishment for the latter as well. Why this was so, is because immoral relations like adultery usually lead to violence & murder and disobeying of parents causes disharmony in the society which also leads to violence & murder. Thus they equated them equally as crimes and punished all the three with the same punishment, and hence they were able to prevent killing before it happened and hence avoided punishments in the first place and also succesfully reduce crime to a very low rate. Thus it was a holistic approach to the problem that aimed at prevention of crime & murder, unlike the simple Pros who want only murder punished by death, while are Adultery and Disobeying of Parents are considered trivial offences, which clearly does not work. e.g. as seen by the large number of women who have adulturous relationships and get killed by their husbands or jealous lovers, work as prostitutes and get killed by serial killers, fall in love with undesirable men against their parents wishes and get killed as well. Those who also indulge in criminal activities such as gangsterism, drugs etc.....prohibited by their parents and society, which also ultimately result in violence & murder. Hence the holistic approach which was used before is now no longer used, and thus one cannot say that murder alone wrong like the Pro simpletons, without punishing Adultery/Immoral behaviour and Disobeying of Parents equally.
