Can anyone tell me who is in charge of giving the prisoner medication of medical care ?
Is it intirely up to the state or does the family have any say so what so ever. Was just wondering if the family actually has any say so...or it is intirely up to the state.

Not sure about prison but in Texas we have UTMB (University of Texas Medical ?) they provide all medical services. The juveniles can refuse to take medicine if they wish, I do not believe the parents have any say but I do believe if one objected that would be taken in to account. It is not my department but I will ask some one who may know and get back to you. I do know that Texas prisons are also on the UTMB system but really not sure of their policies in prison. I will ask about this as well.
