This pro has thought That anytime sympathy is sought for a murderer like Davis....that the crime scene photo's ought to be shown of what they did to get them where they are at and why they are being executed.
You claim:
"Many things dont occur to some pro's, like the possibility of factual innocence, people on DR not actually being monsters"
Well Felix things don't ever occur to some anti's that that the murderers are factually guilty, and the the murderer's on death row are actually the monsters they are said to be.

Wrong. You can find pictures of the OJ murder scene. You can find pictures of JonBenet with the garotte. You can see Tupac on the gurney. You can find pictures of murder victims. Apparently you missed almost all the words in my post. So I will state it again. You can't find any photo's of the dead victims of Tiny Davis. Besides, I have seen many nosebleeds. They are not disgusting and neither is the photo of the nosebleed that Tiny Davis had.

Sill, Florida's electric chair could probably stand an update, definitely in the form of a change to the chinstrap, judging from the photos. This isn't the first time Florida's "Old Sparky" had a mishap in its use. Flames and smoke erupted from the heads of both Pedro Medina and Jesse Tafero during their executions. This tends to indicate that the team tasked with executing offenders in Florida is negligent in their job and is not doing it right. They have also had a few botched lethal injections since Florida added this as a optional way to die. Nowhere can we conclude that Davis suffered pain when the switch was pulled. This has been debated many times in court and the conclusion always is that the electric chair is painless.

Has anyone pro or anti seen these pictures and got any comments? I have not provided a link because they are very graphic. Whatever this man did do, and it does appear he was indeed guilty and a nasty piece of work, I cannot equate what was done to him in his execution with the actions of a decent society. Quite frankly...who cares how barbaric they are, this method should still be in use today, no mercy was shown towards their victim...

There is little question as to Allen Lee Davis' guilt. He was convicted of beating to death 37-year-old Nancy Weiler of Jacksonville, hitting her 25 times with a revolver. Mrs. Weiler was pregnant. Davis then shot to death her daughters, Kristina, 9, and Katherine, 5. another baby killer...oh poor him his execution was so barbaric....boohoo...got what he deserved.... www.sptimes.com/News/70899/news_pf/State/Florida_worked_hard_t.shtml

a late reply to this but had to say it - the only reason it seems so barbaric is because of his facial expression and the blood.
i wonder how people would feel if they saw the crime scene / forensic pictures of the victims ?. in some cases i suggest we would not have a stomach strong enough to cope with the after effect.
please bear this in mind when pittying this mutt

You wrote: You can't find pictures of the person who Tiny Davis killed or any other murder victims. Maybe you didn't understand that you wrote OR ANY OTHER MURDER VICTIMS, but I read it the way you wrote it. I stand by what I say it was pretty gross, but not the most gross thing I have seen. Not even close. Don't get me wrong. He did deserve to be executed. I do not feel sorry for him at all. He got it way easier than his innocent victims and he should have felt lucky about that. I know that those pictures are NOTHING compared to what the people at the crime scene seen that day. I don't think it was the blood that I thought was gross as much as his purpleness. The blood wasn't much at all.

There are A LOT worse. As I said there are a couple of pictures of Dahmer's victims. That is gross. On a scale of 1 to 10 on the gross meter. Tiny Davis rates maybe a 1 compared to other gross things. There is a puppy that the neighbors own and it comes over to play with the pug that lives here. It is always loose. The pug waits in its chain link fence area for the puppy to come over and they run back and forth around the fence. Yesterday I seen the poor puppy on the side of the road after getting hit by a car. The pug is outside waiting for her friend right now. To me that was worse than Tiny Davis and in my opinion much sadder. I know the puppy story has nothing to do with Tiny Davis, but my heart is breaking watching the pug look for her friend that won't come to play. It is very sad.

Hmmmm let me think. Fat man Davis had a minor nose bleed when he was getting fried, right? And I believe his victims were either bludgeoned or shot to death, including a small child? ? Well I dare say the fat man got the easy way out. ;D

Yeah, well when I was a kid I also had a little nosebleed, and it looked a hell of alot worse than Davis'. It's amazing what a little blood can do to your white shirt! GlennF, what a deplorable creature you are. If you compare these pictures with a common nosebleed, you will certainly compare Dubya with Mahatma Ghandi ..... Felix2, let's drink!

Nah, Bush is not an anti-semitic bastard like Gandhi was. Which, come to think of it, is why you Euro's and our lefty liberals adore Gandhi so much: You all have irrational Jew hatred in common.

I believe this discussion all centers around Cruel and Unusual Punsihment.
If the criminal does not feel as though the punishment is Cruel or Unusual, then I think we can all agree that regardless of how WE may all feel about it, it is, indeed, Not cruel or unusual.
Given that paradigm, which I believe would be difficult to dispute, here's the plan.
A criminal is convicted of Capital Murder and sentenced with the death penalty. 'A sentence befitting the crime.' Fair enough. The Court simply reaches over, picks up a Manila Envelope, and reads the specifics of the case. If the perpetrator did not feel as though the death he meeted out on his victim was either Cruel or Unusual, (by virtue of the fact that he exectued it), then, should his demise not be carried out in the same manner?
It certainly was good enough for the Goose, yes?
Secondly, it is no easy task to end a life. It gets messy. Anyone who knows ANYTHING about electrocution would know that the small amount of HIGHLY VISABLE blood pales in comparison to the trauma at the points of contact for the electrodes. I'll spare you the details but try to visualize Sunday's Roast Beef.
Finally, ANYONE who has ever raised a child would spot this as a common nose bleed. It's just a little blood.
Tha'll do, donkey, Tha'll do...

Cosmos: This tends to indicate that the team tasked with executing offenders in Florida is negligent in their job and is not doing it right.
This is actually not true. Volts x Amps = Watts. That is the ONLY Predictable thing you can say about electricity. People get struck by lightening for cryin' out loud and walk away. Other people get 12 volts across their heart when they're installing their car sterios and keel over. LOW voltages precipitate arythmia and arrest. Weird.
Things like this depend a LOT on concentrations of salt. Concentrations of fluids. Disbursement of fluids. Atmospheric humidity. An uncle of a friend of mine was guiding a metal tower that was being lifted by a crane. The crane lifted the tower into power lines. Blew the bottoms of his feet off. Weird, weird, weird.
And I don't know if any of you have ever gotten tangled up with even Household 120v but it happens to me from time to time. It's quite a ride. Getting electrocuted like that must really be something.

Yes. I have personal experience with having not insignificant amounts of electricity surging through my body. Little puffs of smoke. I also used to work in a television repair shop where that sort of thing was considered harmless and funny.
But don't get me wrong. I'm not saying death by electrocution is unfair or cruel or unusual or wrong. I'm just saying it's not pleasant.
At the time it was implemented, it was the Most humane form of execution. Taking into consideration its predecessors were burning at the stake, hanging, iron maiden, wooden horse...
We've come a long, long way. As a life form and a global culture, we're young yet. Good grief. We still War among ourselves. And over what? Territory and God. Inconcievable. We definitely need to protect society from dogs that bite. We just need, in some people's opinions, a more humane method.
You have to admit that 35 million years of some need for Revenge that lies deep within the human psyche is not going to be changed quickly, easily, or thoroughly.
Maybe not for another 35 million years.
It's our nature.

It's indeed somewhere deep inside our psyche. Period. On the other hand we have to ask ourselves, how we should respond to that feeling. Please don't forget that Siegmund Freud described the co-existance of violence and counter-violence. I still believe that an execution is the most improper argument to explain that killing is wrong and I also believe, that violence is no solution to any problem. Sincerely, Eurostar

All I'm going to do is put this on a different 'Scale'.
40 people, you included, are locked in a room. There is enough space for you all to be comfortable. You are locked in. Forever. All of your needs are provided through a slot in the door. Everyone is happy. You're just locked in but that's OK with everyone. It's actually kind of nice.
One of you, and everybody knows who it is, has this habit of just walking up to people and punching them in the head. That's all. Just walking up and punching them in the head.
And this goes on and on and on.
No matter what happens inside the room, No matter how violent he (or anyone else) gets, no matter how much he escalates, Nobody from the outside is going to come in and put a stop to it. You're on your own. There is no higher authority to intervene.
There's just this Naturally Violent Guy who has no concept of the sanctity of Human life who has been placed in the midst of a microcosm. Not a Country or a World, but a room with 39 people in it who must live in here for the rest of their lives.
And you.
