prodp.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=mnews&action=display&thread=26437&page=1Gabe Watson pleaded guilty to manslaughter of his wife while they were on their honeymoon in QLD australia. Basically what happened was his wife drowned while they were scuba diving on the great Barrier Reef. What Gabe Watson was accused of, was deliberately turning off her airtank and allow her to suffocate. What he admitted to was that he failed in his duty as her dive buddy, by not doing all the things he should have to prevent her drowning on the sea floor and thus was sentenced on this basis. The motive of the crime was basically to access her life insurance policy which he tried to increase without her knowing. Watson was sentenced to a 1-5 year term. This has appalled US authorities who have considered attempting to prosecute Watson themselves, considering "the crime started in Alabama and finished in Queensland" What do you think. By the way it is not an unsuprising sentence. QLD authorities accepted a manslaughter conviction from a baby killer (who had killed a 19 day old baby by shaking him, squeezing his chest and slamming him against a cupboard), who was sentenced to a term for 5-8 years.

Alabama won't have to wait too long for him, the swine will be out in just 1 year! Unbelievable.
