I am a fervant anti Kathy and i never mock it as a subject but get used to the Por American sense of humour and ours on the anti's . We mock each other but not the subject.
There are people on this site who have been directly effected one way or the other by murder, remember that, but there are some who are for some reason total knobs and treat it as a joke and they are mainly pros because they think its funny to wish a human being dead.
Think of it like this, what a world it would be if we all agreed and had the same attitude as Joe. Have fun and if necessary give it some back.
Let someone upset or take anything personally and your toast. Im of home to play with my Misses, my little girl is in bed now.;-( X goodnight you.

why would any nonAmerican have any interest in the dp unless it was to ban it in the US? . We could also be interested in the DP because we wish it would be brought back too. ;D Lawrence, white socks with sandals and tropical shirts is rather the German tourist cliché.  |

ok, now I get tired of having to repeat myself: I am not interested in this issue because I want to ban dp in the US. And I don't (necessarily) want it reestablished in Europe as well. I just thought about dp quite much and discussed about it with different people. So one last time: I am neither pro nor anti - because I AM NOT SURE!!!!!!!! I want to get as much info and opinions as possible in order to make up my mind - beacause actually I think everyone should have an opinion on such an issue (of life and death). I got some ideas now from both sides and I am going to consider those and hopefully come to a conclusion (not only for my term paper but for me personally as well!! That is all I want. lawrence: thx for your words....I know that many people here are personally effected and that I am not - so we start from a different position anyways..... anyhow, I am havin a lot of fun in my life (don't worry)!! |

Rand, have you ever been to the States?  white socks and sandels with tropical shirts are definately in over there big time. I agree it is also a German thing, last October i was visiting my god children and there were an awful lot of white socks and sandals i agree, i was shocked to realise that they were not yanks. |

I love kids Rand, they are are future and the reason is quite simple, children, i mean children ( i know that to some a child is a child no mater how old) but im talking about little children who can not defend themselves, that are systematically prayed upon by adults for sexual pleasure, for their gratification and to abuse and treat like a sex slave and throw away like trash. Now that is my stance, i know that this will be hard to understand for some people but it is my stance and i will not budge from it because some dont like it.
To all, give it some in my direction, i really dont care but saying that it is my stance and im not intending to upset anyone because of it. If you dont like that and find it hypocritical hey ho. You all have a right to your opinions and stance i have mine and i WILL not apologise for it.

Take Felix, his views of the IRA are totally alien to me and i have experience of that situatiuon but i dont hate him or them, i dont think ill of him of wish him harm. The same with Joe, itdc and pip you all have your views that i find aggressibve and at times your views are full of hatred, to me that is alien but i respect that. Respect mine.
Also if you give it some i.e. insult me please, be prepared to receive it back. At least i have the good grace to apologise if i have genuinely upset someone. I will not apologise because i have a difference of opinion.

Very odd and uncommon indeed. Isn't there a risk to execute an innocent in this case too ? I don't think you're a hypocrite, I just think that you make a hierarchy between victims, like if molesting a child was more serious than killing 5 persons. I don't agree with that, and I'd surprise you if I say as a pro I oppose the DP for molesters, as awful their acts are. |

It does seem to em Lawrence that if you support the DP at all in any circumstance then you must by definition be a pro, the only difference that remains is one between you and fellow pro's of when and to whom to apply it? I could for example kill without a second thought in circumstances of direct self defence, but that is not quite the same as killing someone already incarcerated. I would'nt need to do it then. It pains me to say this, but I can see the pro point in this instance, if you'd kill a paedophile in any circumstance other than in direct self defence, then you are not what I could call an anti exactly. I do understand your loathing of them quite well, they are exactly as you describe, predatory monsters who prey on the most vulnerable amongst us, our children. Frequently I see young women self harming years later into adulthood and my initial question is always "do you consider yourself to have ever been physically, sexually or emotionally abused". Sit in those kind of circumstance day in day out, then get called top the prison to assess a paedophile who will later meet you again to dispute your report invariabley sitting with his tax payer funded human rights lawyer, oh yes, I know that feeling in my gut, I can really share that with you. I take solace that the worst one I have had a hand in banging up is currently suicidal in Ashworth High Secure Hospital. He has sworn to hunt me down and kill me if he ever gets out of there, my boss refused to let me give the bas,,,, my address, though I would in the blink of an eye if I lived alone and did not have three lovely kids he'd go for first because the bastard knows this would harm me more then anything he copuld do to me personally. I'll tell you now, If I went to walk the dog tonight and met him on this street I'd kill him, because I know it would eb direct self defence as he's have no other reason to be here. But, nobody has ever escaped from Ashworth. Perhaps some of the DP warderns ought to come over and learn how they do it here. These guys are the cleverest psychopaths and they have never succeeded in getting out, so I know with the right protocols in place it can eb done. Belive me though, that guy suffers more being alive and having no control, than he would if he were sentenced to death. |
