Jackson thanked his family and expressed love for them. "This is not the end but the beginning of a new chapter for you and I together forever. See you all later. See you all on the other side." Jackson then told the warden standing over him, "Warden, murder me." He then referred to Harris County, where he was convicted, as Sodom and Gomorrah, the biblical cities destroyed by God for their sins. "I'm ready to roll. Time to get this party started."
Do you really think that MVS' can take closure from such a desaster?
I mean, his last words were just a slap in the face and they didn't even have the chance to react in any way.
I would be devastated after such a show and it would take me years to get over his words.

I've wondered about that, Euro. It would seem that the most vindictive executees can take the opportunity to hurt the MVS's one last time. i wonder if any have regretted attending. I believe that in this case they didn't go.

He's just talking to talk. When they are not sincere, it's not like he gets the final say anyway, so who cares what he says? He murdered his wife and two girls.... they cannot be forgotten regardless of his words. I'm sure he's telling it all to Satan right now... he can talk as long as he likes.

No, it just goes to show what an @$$hole this guy was and that the world is far better off without him in it anymore.

Actually, to me his words mean nothing and it is just more lies, manipulation and all the other psychopathic babble to try to prove he is right and the world is wrong.
His words wouldn't have had any impact on me, except to point out to the world that he was a user, abuser and evil to the very end. His new found religion is just another game to try to lay guilt on others when he knows the only person with any guilt in this is himself. His words were angry at society for where he was and that he was going to die.
To tell the truth the MVSs that heard these words, should be proud that maybe in some way they got this monster removed from this earth. That POS had already done the worst he could to the MVSs. Mere words mean nothing at the end of his life. It was the act that got him to the table that had the biggest impact on the MVSs and the POS himself.

Nobody cares what this dirtball's last words were.
He is forgotten. Oblivion has him. He never existed.

As far as last statements go, I give this one a C+. It is pretty average, but he gets a point for comparing Harris County to Sodom and Gomorrah. I haven't heard that one before. Personally, my favorite final statements are when they go on ranting or singing until the juice overpowers them and they croak in mid-sentence.

In our case I would be more shocked if he did NOT say something intended to hurt. I expect it.
I just want to see justice done for Bethena and Ron and Beau. And I want to see for myself that he cannot hurt anyone else anywhere ever again, and isn't here to get anyone else to do it for him again either.

It will take him even longer to get the pin *jerk*. I'm sure he's telling it all to Satan right now... he can talk as long as he likes. You know, just once I would like it if an executee said something like, "well, this is it. I'll probably be roasting in Hell in about 5 minutes." I personally don't believe in an afterlife, but that would make me LOL.

Linda and Art used to be active members here. TWO of their daughters were murdered by a father and son team, Dennis and Delton Dowthitt. Dennis was executed a few years ago and Linda was fully prepared for a horrible experience when he made his final statement. She had expected that he would use the time to say things that would hurt their family, or to claim his innocence and place all blame on his son as he did at trial. However, he surprised us all by fully accepting responsibility for what he did, sincerely apologizing to the victim's family, and looking Linda straight in the eye, holding her gaze for several seconds. When he was on his way out the door, he gave a gift to the mother who had lost her 9 and 14 year old daughters. She was quite touched by his remorse and was extremely grateful that he did this. I wish other families could experience this as well.

No reason to expect anything else from someone who has ordered the murder of one of his own friends (and supplied his own car and shotgun for them to do it with), murdered another of his friends with his own hands, and my daughter whom he did not even know just because she happened to be there. His defense attorneys could not even find a mitigation specialist who would testify that he was not a future danger after having had face-to-face interviews with him. Charlene, you are such a good friend. All of you that have offerred to be there are such good friends. I just hope that day comes and someone who is truly a danger to others no matter where he is will be gone from this earth. Thank you so much and much love to you.

If they want to say any final words they can have them taped and only if they don't contain any insults they can be publicised.

The Warden will allow a last statement and will give the condemned the courtesy to complete his statement and leave this world in the most dignified manner possible....however....as soon as the condemned starts to run his head with ignorant comments directed at causing additional hurt to the victims or arrogant "psycho babble".....the warden will immediately start the juices flowing and end the madness. The condemned is made aware of this in advance and is given every opportunity to complete a reasonable and sincere final word.
Jackson was a world class POS and deserved every cc of the juice he received.

Is this the final statement you are referring to, Mike C? It appears he was executed in mid-sentence.
Offender: Craig Ogan #979 Last Statement: I would like to say first of all the real violent crimes in this case are acts committed by James Boswell and Clay Morgan Gaines. We have the physical evidence to prove fabrication and cover-up. The people responsible for killing me will have blood on their hands for an unprovoked murder. I am not guilty; I acted in self-defense and reflex in the face of a police officer who was out of control. James Boswell had his head beat in; possibly due to this he had problems. My jurors had not heard about that. They did not know he had suffered a head injury from the beating by a crack dealer five months earlier; that he was filled with anger and wrote an angry letter to the Houston Chronicle. He expressed his frustration at the mayor, police chief and fire chief. He was mad at the world. Three and a half months before I worked on a deal with the DEA, the informant was let off. At the moment he left the courtroom, he became angry with me; Officer Boswell was upset about this. Officer Boswell and an angry woman were in the police car and they were talking in raised voices. In other words, Officer Boswell was angry at the time I walked up. Officer Boswell may have reacted to the...
