Given that people have ended up with barking, I guess we can conclude that the death penalty is as pointless as this discussion. Oh fugly, you screwed up nasty little scumpal. The DP isn't pointless. This thread is. who started it anway? That's right it was you. Thread and fugly completely pointless. In the long run, we're all pointless and tiny disturbances - so let's make the best of it while we can PS: I've missed you too

Setting aside the nonsense, the gist of the discussion is that pros are prepared to spend a lot of money granting arbitrarily many appeals to DR inmates rather than risk executing an innocent or a person with a cognitive impediment. That's laudable, but it would be better to do away with the DP entirely and spend the money on stopping crimes happening in the first place. bernard, who died and made you boss?? You can't declare your side the winner. No one asked who won and no one appointed a referee. SO?? Aww, let Bernard the ole bird have his personal fuzzy moment of comfort in declaring himself the winner. After all this is Thanksgiving week-end.

States has turned to extraordinary measures for the sake of killing people. Considering the amount of better things those funds could have been used for - such as preventing crime from happening in the first place - is it really worth it? Is seeing people die really that awesome? You'll have a difficult time showing that it is more expensive, in the event you decide to fact check the studies, as I did. (1). Justice is the reason for the death penalty, as for all sanctions. Justice is, most likely, the greatest goal and attainment of man. Even though just, I consider executions to be very sad events, as we should reflect on the victims, their loved ones and that futures which will never be and the evil actions of the murderers, resulting in their just sanction, both of which will, undoubtedly, scar the murderers family as well. 1) Saving Costs with The Death Penalty prodpinnc.blogspot.com/2013/02/death-penalty-cost-saving-money.html

Think about this. It's none of your dam business. You live in Norway, nothing we do here affects you at all.. dear greggsmom: I don't mind any person from any country complaining or praising the US. I love free and open dialogue. Foreigners can have the same dumb, smart, ignotant and/or informed opinions as we do. Historically, the overwhelming majority of pro death penalty support - philosophical, moral, ethical, legal, practical and factual has come from outside the US, for the previous 4000 years. As a near iron clad rule, foreign folks, just like US folks, depend upon an anti death penalty media, as their primary source. Se, just welcome and correct them.

Could you tell me how Virginia is able to maintain an average of 7 years until execution, and why other states struggle to maintain an average anything like that low?
