If you are a longtime member here you probably remember of a Pro DP member called “Bryan” that happened to have a brother on Texas death row. Well, if I’m not mistaken, his brother is scheduled to die this month. His name is Milton Mathis.

Interesting....can't say I remember him.
I will see what his bro is being executed for.
This board gets very few relatives of death row prisoners.
They think we're "mean"...
At least that's what they called me on CCADP. ;D

At least that's what they called me on CCADP. ;D “Bryan” was very active during the heated arguments over Troy Kunkle’s execution. Interestingly enough Bryan was pro DP and after being extensively questioned by antis about his brother’s situation he once stated that he would be honored to execute his brother himself if he had the chance.

Mathis is not his brother. You are thinking of Yokamon Hearn.

www.internationaljusticeproject.org/retardationMMathis.cfmHere's Mathis' "retard" link. Isn't the pathetic picture of the retarded looking Mathis, just too much? He shot 3 people...killing 2 & paralyzing a woman, with a .45 semi automatic pistol. The 1911 Colt .45 is not a gun for a retarded person....it requires regular cleaning which requires dissassembly....it would be like a jig-saw puzzle from hell to a truly retarded person. I fail to see how a retarded psychopath with no conscience is less dangerous than an average intelligence one would be. But then, you'd have to have a reason for executing the worst of the worst due to degree of danger to society, for this reason for execution would be valid, wouldn't you "justice", or "moral outrage" would never be considered a valid reason for executing even a borderline retarded murderer.

Describeing this offender as retarded is a slur on individuals with a genuine learning difficulty.

PM'd him amny times and we both had a great respect for each other. It always interested me about his position on the death peanalty (clear pro) given his own brother was on the row. When he stopped posting he pm'd me an e-mail, addy that I could never get to work some months alter when I tried to follow him up. Not sure of his brothers name though.

Describeing this offender as retarded is a slur on individuals with a genuine learning difficulty. Thank you so much!!! I was hoping you would reply to my thread on "juicing retards." In that thread, I said "I must say, I have all the compassion in the world for the truly mentally disabled. This is why it angers me to no end to see these a$$wipes play the tard card to get execution stays. I have seen many mentally retarded people, and although they can be violent, they don't rob people at gunpoint for drugs. That is just not the type of offense mentally retarded people have the capacity to plan and carry out. I wish some group of advocates would get together and protest this kind of exploitation of the plight of people with legitimate mental handicaps." Although we disagree about the DP, it sounds like we are on the exact same page on this and see it as insulting to the truly mentally disabled.

Not sure of his brothers name though. His brother is Yokamon Hearn, who, like Mathis, is claiming retardation. Bryan said that it is bullsh*t, but he did say his brother was always "a little off." All of this was posted in the open and is still somewhere in the Achieves, so I'm not revealing anything said in private here.

Here is what Bryan had to say about juicing his brother: "lemme just say, me and my brother really only have each other...he never harmed a child but did kill a man for his car...and in my oponion if anyone was to carry out his punishment i would want to...not as a sign of hate but a sign of repect...i belive he would be better with me doing it then some stranger." And "...i never said i want him dead...i dont want him dead but i do want justice for a mans family...what he did was bad and that deserves a harsh penalty...my father got shot dead in a bad robbery..do i want his killer dead..yes..have they ever arrested someone for that crime...no, but from that i realized the victem impact..and thats why i support the death penalty." prodp.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=05&action=display&thread=13696

Well, it seems to me that I was in fact mistaken about Bryan’s brother. I apologize for the inconvenience.

I instinct says this - Even though they would not publicly admit it, because of self interest there are probably many on the row who would think capital punishment is appropriate for murder, and for the sort of murders they committed. How many violent criminals believe in soft on crime punishments?

I have an off-topic question related to the images on your posts. Here in Ohio all of the stations that used to be Citgo stations are now Circle K stations. Do you know if there is a relationship between Citgo and Circle K?
