Wow. I am very suspicious of his motives since he was the power of attorney and beneficiary. He could just be setting up the crazy defense.

Yes, it is since he had a POA and beneficary of the victim he killed.
Admitted to killing him. How can one say he did nothing wrong??

No idea what was going on in his head, but if you are going to murder someone to cash in as a beneficiary of the will, stoning is one of the stupidest ways to do it. If he used poison or pushed the guy down the stairs to make it look like an accident that would be one thing, but why use a method that can only be explained as foul play? I do think he will try to put on an insanity defense.

Does not appear it was planned, more anger and heat of the moment.
Guess, we should ban stones and religion next?.

Does not appear it was planned, more anger and heat of the moment. Guess, we should ban stones and religion next?. There is only the murderer's say-so that there were any sexual advances made. If they were ever made, I would guess they had been made long before that time and most likely acted on since the killer was the beneficiary. You don't become close enough that someone makes you their power of attorney and beneficiary of their insurance and after all of that, they finally make a sexual advance. IF that was a part of their relationship, it most likely had been one for quite some time, and that does not make me believe that this is a heat of the moment action.

A lovers quarrel/ greed both ? I would bet on one thing though, the religious part a insanity vice.
