Although this would be grossly illegal, what do you think of this in theory:
Troubled teens would be sent to Death Watch for a few days. Then, the teens would be brought to the death chamber, strapped to a gurney, and given just enough juice to put them to sleep for a little while. In other words, it would be a simulated execution without killing them. Obviously this would create insurmountable legal issues (the teen could die from medical complications, for example), but do you think it would be effective? Would it deter, or conversely, would it cause some of them to think that lethal injection is not that bad?

they should also put on the diaper, that in itself maybe a big enough deterant. as for admin. of the drugs however, they may think " Hmmm, this aint so bad." then they acidentally kick off. major law suites and such. other wise a good idea

Also, for effect, they could have them come to in a coffin in the morgue or something. Obviously it could never be done, but I think both pros and antis could be on board with this since there would be no actual killing. One alternative that would be legal is to strap them to a gurney or electric chair but not give them any juice. I don't know how effective it would be overall, but I imagine it could have a lasting impact on at least a few of them.

I would like to see it happen, but the antis would be in an uproar if we tried to do anything like that.

Well, speaking from the 'Asperger's' POV... You, should be very cautious when doing this to an aspie. As, you WILL be taken literally. We, aspies can be rather literal-minded... Or, is that the intent?!?

There is a much better way to scare straight troubled kids. I have once posted it here.
Boot camps for troubled teens are also an effective way to get them straight in line.

Rich" Texas teen gets probation for killing four pedestrians while driving drunk ... boot camp would be to tough on rich boy. Defense felt he was too spoiled as well as ignored by his parents to be held responsible for punishment. He gets to go to a high dollar place where he gets to ride horses, has a cushy time to learn to be responsible. Being he is young needs"rich" rehab not punish. Boot camp is for non rich kids I guess.

It may be disgusting, but it also may be very effective.
