BTW, I miss Richard Cartwright! Did y'all miss his confession that he made on the gurney? Bet some of you antis feel pretty sheepish after screaming "innocent!" so loudly about this scumbag. The claims of Richard Cartwright being innocent. STOP THE EXECUTION!!! OF RICHARD CARTWRIGHT, AN INNOCENT MAN Richard Michael Cartwright is INNOCENT of the crime he as been convicted of. He has been sentenced to die for the actions of others, His friends and family continue to hold on to the hope that someone will care enough to look at Richard's case and INTERVENE before another life is taken. There is a trial exhibit on Richard's website at: www.deathrowspeaks.info/news/richardcartwright.html____________________________________________ What Richard Cartwright said on the gurney just before the execution. "I just want to thank all my friends and family who gave me support these past eight years," said Cartwright, with his mother and a sister among those watching through a window as he was strapped to the death chamber gurney, needles in each arm. "I want to apologize to the victim's family for the pain and suffering I caused them."
Then he urged death row inmates he left behind at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Polunsky Unit to "just keep your heads up and stay strong." Notice the part where he apologized to the victim's family for the pain "he" caused them. How could he have caused them pain if he was "innocent". Maybe because he was really guilty. www.dentonrc.com/sharedcontent/APStories/stories/D8A6N8K80.html

the real innocent was Nick Moraida, let him not be forgotten Thank You BRYAN!! Nick Moraida is the name to remember!! Bryan, you get a plus in my book!! The rest of you blew it again. In this article Nick's sister is quoted. www.kristv.com/Global/story.asp?S=3339804The family is ready to have some closure, and they believe next Thursday will help. Above all, Angela Moraida remembers her brother Nick as a good father. "He would make all the holidays special...decorate it together," Moraida said. She said it wasn't just the loss of Nick that hurt, but the way he was taken. "They robbed him, and one guy slit his throat, and the other guy shot him, and left him just to die there in the bay." °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°<br>Here's a picture of Nick Moraida! img231.echo.cx/img231/5872/p2moraid0515d8ga.jpg Remember Nick! Forget the evildoer!

i found it rather not suprising the other week when in chat with "an anti" - i asked why her husband was innocent and had fought tooth and nail to get aquitted or LWOP - suddenly oh the shock and horror of it all he said in his final minute " yes i did it, i am sorry" this another reason why ALL THOSE innocent on DR can go and fry in my opinion., complete disregard for the their victims or the families who have possibly been sucked into the whole innocent saga. grrrrrrrrrrrrr

Sometime I get the impression that the victim is irrelevant when it comes to the murderer. Very true. Some here must read only the convict's web pages, and not the memoritoriums for the victim. Maybe they forget that someone really died, often in a brutal horrifying manner.

You're right Spearmint, Nick should have the page "In Loving Memory" not Richard Cartwright! I also cringe as do many MVSs when the predator is given a name with capital letters. I suggest a) perpetrator b) predator c) evildoer, or if the trial is still going on and facts withheld then d) suspect. If a name has to be mentioned than only the last name without a capital letter and if everyone knows about the case we can misspell this last name, which we wish to forget. These evildoers should never have a reason to believe that they are important because of their evil act. The victim is often a remarkably good person which supports my belief that evil will target good in this world. By honoring the victim and remembering him/her we will be blessed by the goodness that the victim represented in this world.

I wasn't writing his name with capital letters to honor him I was writing the name so you would know who I was talking about. I wrote the name with capital letters because I learned in school to write names with capital letters. I guess just habit of education. I will try to honor you request and use lower case letters when refering to the villian. (You forgot that name. ) I wish we could forget but really we can't because a. the family never will b. to ensure punishment for the sake of the victim and society c. to keep fighting for justice d. and to protect the future safety of others richard c the dead evildoer How's that?

I hope people would start referring to folks like the Oklahoma City Truck Bomb Murderer without saying his name or showing his picture ever again. The one thing that 2-bit low-life wanted from day one was publicity. Unfortunately, his name will be archived forever as a matter of public record in legal files, but it would be nice if every other venue voluntarily erased his name and picture.

It is unfortunate but that monster and his name will never fade, even if he got LWOP he would just be another charles manson who has fanclubs and websites. The enormity of the act and the fact that he was an American who did that to Americans ensures he has a place in history.
