That's human trafficking, and it's totally different. Moving plant extracts from one location to another does not merit a death sentence, but it could be argued that kidnapping people to sell as slaves should be a capital crime. Most people that are guilty of "drug trafficking" are just trying to feed their family because they are poor and can't get a job and have no other option. People need to accept the fact that drugs are a part of our society now. If someone wants to pollute their body because they judge that it is appropriate, that is their *f---ing* decision and it makes me sick to see so many obsequious "moral do-gooders" wasting their time trying to stick people in jail for actions that are none of their god damn business!

I agree with ITDC, their actions does have an impact on everybody else, they are a potetial lethal poison to our children, and whilst I dont support the death penalty I doo see them as a vermin deservign significant jail time for the protection of others.

I voted yes for pretty much what ltdc and Felix said. If anyone believes drugs do no harm then they're living in cuckooland.

You sound like a real idiot. I can only hope that you partake heavily of the substances you bray about and die early and soon, so you are removed from the gene pool. What about the thousands of deaths just over into Mexico fighting the drug cartels? Gee and all the drugs going into Cali, TX, and thru the US from there? Hear they are headed for Australia now too.

I think forgesfire's comment to be wrong and naive at best but that reaction is excessive and disgusting. After all you're talking to a 16 year old here.

I do not believe in murder for drug trafficing or human trafficing. However, if a murder is the result of either, then, by all means, punish with the death penalty.
My feelings to what is happening in mexico is both a civil war and the result of when you do not have punishments in place that put fear into the hearts of evil men.

Are yuo implying that 16 year old ought to be mollycoddled and not told the truth? Cali is merely expressing his view and yes, doing so in a way that seemes calculated to grab the said 16 year olds attention and intorduce a little bit of reality to his view. I thought it was rather mild by Cali's usual standards.

A short list of harmed caused by illicit drugs
1. Increase in both property crime and violent crime can be attributed to drugs.
You can see the a change in the types of crimes committed. For example, the typical armed hold up is in a small business, for a few hundred bucks by a desperate drug addict.
2. Increase in demand for mental health services, and increase in the strain on emergency medical services.
Caused by drug induced psychosis, caused by those whose drug taking has triggered mental illness.
3. Increase in need for foster carers, Community Services resources to assist children of drug addicts
4. Increase strain on prisons and courts and police services dealing with such people
5. Welfare dependancy caused by drug addiction

Drugs f uck people up, sure enough, but ultimately, most drug users initially have a choice, a person who is murdered does not.

Dummy up, Kraut, or we roll the bombers again. George Clemenceau must have thought of you when he said: "America is the only nation in history which miraculously has gone directly from barbarism to degeneration without the usual interval of civilization."

I thought it was rather mild by Cali's usual standards. I'm not talking about putting on silk gloves but it's obviously harsh to wish death to a person for his/her opinion which actually didn't even hurt anyone's feelings. I wouldn't have said anything against the usual insults which are employed in these situations but to me this is beyond the line. How can anyone wish death to another person for a controversial opinion? It's insane. I stressed the fact that he's only 16 because not everyone at this age has enough self-confidence and a settled personality to file this under "W - Whatever".

Agreed, but most people do not cause any problems with their drinking. People generally don't break into homes or steal from their grannys to buy booze because its legal and more often than not affordable, alcohol destroys as many lives as illicit drugs do....... more people die from alcohol and ciggarrettes than they do from "illegal" drugs. People who use drugs generally make a choice to do so, I can't see murderers being on the same level as drug dealers. both scum but taking of a life has got to hold more punishment than dealing in drugs My brother was a junkie and died a junkie. It wasn'tthe drug dealers fault he got hooked, it was his and his alone, i love him but he was a fool.

Perhaps. Do yourself a favor, though. Don't p*ss us off. Ask your grandpa what happens when you do.

It has progressive negative effects on the body. It is highly addictive. Withdrawal symptoms can be fatal (approaching 50% without medical care). Crimes do happen in the alcoholics pursuit of his drug of choice. If you think a desperate alcoholic wouldn't cut your throat to get the $20 bill out of your pocket, you are sadly mistaken.

No, I know that. Alcohol and ciggarrettes kill more people than the illicit drugs do.

Its is simply crimalizing normal human behavior. Its only the Americans and Arabs and some Asians that bother to heavily crimalize drug abuse, witch is more of a medical and social problem than a crime. The side effect that hurt society are a result of this crimilization. How can people get the drugs they need without breaking the law in some countries? Also this 'Drug War' is also a scam. There is tons of money spent on salaries and other disburments that are profiting the goverment and paying big salaries. Where there is violent crime being high on drugs is no excuse. But growing |Marijuana or processing cocoa should not be illegal its there for us to use.

No. Drug traffickers are idiots but they shouldn't be killed for it.
But to say that it's up to each and every one of us to make the choice for or against drugs is ridiculous. Drugs cause massive harm.
16 year-old: so as an addict I get to drive a car, hit someone and argue that it was my free choice to take drugs? I get to become mentally ill and demand that everyone else pays for my therapy? I get to lose my job and ask others to pay for my living?
Cali - you are a moron, nonetheless.
