This question is not whether or not you believe in the dp, but whether you think Scott will get the dp or life.

I hope Scott gets the needle, but unfortunatly there are other "reasons" that the jury will consider. 1. no criminal history 2. family and friends begging the jury 3. can he be rehabilitated ? What a joke.....just give him the needle so taxpayers don't have to feed him for the rest of his life.

Snowy is right- even if he does get the dp, he probabaly won't actually get it. CA doesn't execute that often, so a death sentence there is basicallya life sentence

Well.......I have to register to cast a vote on the poll and don't have time to so I will just say it here......
I will bet that he gets the DP!!! I say this because of the county he's being sentenced in is very strict and likely to vote DP..........If you look at the statistics of the convictions in San Mateo county, you will see the odds are very high...........
Aggravating outweighs mitigating........ Having his parents plead for his life means nothing. He has done nothing of any great importance to argue he is a contributor of society..........He has very few supporters and the nature of the crime qualifies him. He planned and executed the extinction of his wife and child...... I will step out on a ledge and say Death!!!

This question is not whether or not you believe in the dp, but whether you think Scott will get the dp or life. This is a tough one, although I think he deserves the death penalty I am thinking that he will get life. Which in California is basically the same thing.

We will get a DP sentence- no doubt in my mind. BUT he will not actually get executed. CA doesn't like to execute, but they will hand out the sentence. I'd bet money that this is how it works

Let me add that the DP sentence he WILL get doesn't mean crap-since he will just spend the rest of his life in prison. So, I'm not sure how to vote Do I vote the DP if he gets it but they have no intension (?) of giving him death? Am I making sense

The question is if you think the jury might vote dp or life in prison. Does it let you vote? Loretta says it doesn't let her.

His sentencing phase of the trial just got delayed. I have a bad feeling that he will get LWOP, unfortunately.
This guy deserves to be executed!

His attorney is just using tactics. He had another trial to do this week so he stirred the pot. The jury will come back after the thanksgiving holiday feeling less "giving" if you will. Bad move on the defense side. I am confident he will get death!!! Then he can focus on building a penpal list of supporters to his commissary accout and his fancy schnancy attorney will drop him like last years Amber Fry!!

He was already getting letters from women, so I'm sure he'll get plenty of penpals. Sick! Sick! Sick! He can have an awesome relationship through a glass window.

I think after Sharon's testimony yesterday he will get the dp. Of course by getting the dp, he is protected from the rest of the general population....If there was ever a case that called for the dp, this is one.

I sincerely hope so. Life without parole is too good for Scott given the brutality of his crime. The sooner Scott meets his Maker, the better.

I hope he'is gonna get the DP, I think it would not before next week, I hope for monday. I read on the Modbee that Scott Peterson has few tears this morning, It surprised me a lot. I never thought. If he got the DP it would take how many years before he get it, can they make him pass over the others?

To snowy111, why do you think SP gonna have only life? I guess at first the way verdict was happening I was wondering if he would even get convicted. You know the trouble with the jury. California and being the liberal area near San Francisco I thought he would probably get life. Now the way things are going I do believe there is a chance he might get the dp. Still not sure though.

And in JAIL do they allow to have a computer? thank you I think they mentioned once where he would go if he got life. I don't remember where that was. Whether or not he'll have a computer I don't think so but I could be wrong. I think a volunteer manages their web site if they have one. I can tell you though it won't be me. I won't even be his penpal.

Snowy. Based on the info from Court TV, the Jurors seem to be disgusted with his smug persona. He cries when 'his' family begs for his life, I wonder if he cried when he murdered Laci & Connor? I have a wager that he will get the DP and I hope I win because if I win, the Rocha Family wins, and that is the most important matter here. IF he gets the DP, the Rocha Family will get one thread of relief from the million threads of pain they are going through. May God Bless a sensible jury.

I think it is hilarious how the court is wasting time and tax dollars listening to what a good little boy Scott was when he was 10 and all that Bla bla bla.
It has nothing to do with his killing Laci and Connor....Who gives a crap if he went to church and helped little old ladys a cross the street. If I was on the jury ..it would have absolutely no bearing on the crime what so ever.
All I would want to know is what crime was the murderer accused of, the evidence, the proof of the evidence, guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, the laws and degrees of punishment that applied to the crime committed. Then when it got time to decide a verdict, I would look at everything that was relevent very carefully, and decide the verdict, and the punishment.
His race would not matter, his mental state would not matter, his religeon would not matter, sex would not matter, age would not matter, financial status would not matter. And where he stood up and peed at the age of 2 months would not matter.

I hope your right and you can come and tell me I'm wrong. I will be happy to be wrong. It seems as if the jury is bored with the family and so am I. You have to remember some people don't mind his smug smile. There are probably some women who find it cute. Blech!
