How nauseating! He's throwing himself a big, old pity party, isn't he? He made a terrible mistake (yeah, I guess so), he had a rough childhood, he was uneducated, his parents were uneducated, he didn't understand the implications of the death penalty, he's not really a bad guy just misunderstood, he's learned his lesson. He wants a family and a ranch in Montana.
Followed by all the supporters! Good grief.

Some of the comments in that thread are just outrageous. Villareal is supposedly remorseful yet he dismisses his active and willing participation in the rape and murder of two young girls as "a rash decision" and a "horrible mistake". Some of the supporters point to the media and shift blame their way for sensationalizing and blowing things out of proportion. While still another supporter attempted to place the blame on Randy Ertman! Are you kidding me?!?!
First of all, the crime scene and trial evidence speaks for itself. These young ladies were raped, brutalized, and murdered with such savagery and gusto, the media couldn't come close to doing the story justice. News papers and network television just can't publish or broadcast the details of these attrocities. Sorry Raul, the media didn't make you into an animal or monster-You did.
Mr. Villareal dismissing his role as a "rash decision" doesn't point to a remorseful man seeking forgiveness. Rather, in my opinion, he demonstrates himself to be a cold hearted, calloused killer trying to minimalize his own actions to save his life.
As for the poster trying to shift blame to Jennifer's and Elizabeth's parents; That has got to be the most outrageous thing I've ever encountered on an internet message board. I'll leave it at that considering that I'm still at a loss for words.
There were also a group of posters beaming at the prospects of Villareal being released and able to "mentor" the youth of America or some such nonsense. I'm a father of four and I believe I'll pass on on that.
I would've posted all this on their thread but they locked it before I could get there.

What post was that in Alice Bowie? Not even knowing what this person said make me mad to think that the parents are to blame for their childrens deaths.
If you have a moment direct me to the post. Thank you.
