I'm hoping to get the news stories and background information on what is offered most on DR sites...which is a preponderance of anti DR rhetoric.... as I mentioned earlier.....I spend a lot of time researching particular DR inmates and I hoped this site and the posters would share so I needn't retrace their steps No, I don't recall which murderer used the broom stick...I've looked at so many over the years and I didn't keep track of what I learned, other than I've read only one confession that was in any way remorseful, and I'm talking that I've read of death row inmates from the early days. I'm happy to participate and share what I find, but most times I want someone else's research shared, too. Am I in the right place?

DL...................I think you are in the wrong place. This is more of a debate on the Death Penalty and it's application in the US. As well as information on the home page that provides everything you'd want to know about the DP or in some cases, information on the killers.... There are many here who are family members or friends of murder victims and are waiting the execution of the killers. I am one of those people. It's not really a crimesleuthing kind of place. Nor do these people generally "study" the cases. More the status of the executions............or the changes in law. No sensationalism here. If they know about a case, it's because there's a friend or family member involved in that case. I can recommend the Crime and Justice board............... pub165.ezboard.com/bcrimeandjustice13552or websleuths.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=3You will find a ton of info on these sites and many who will exchange info with you....... Are you writing a book or studying crime? Anyway, sorry no one can be of help but they are focused on the Death Penalty for the most part. The anti's here are just here to debate the issue.......NONE of them know the details of the killers as that would blow a huge hole in their reality..... If they do know any details, it is immediately cancelled out as a non-issue. Sorry couldn't be more help...

Thanks Bubbles I work in areas of social justice and several crimes have had an impact on the work I do, which is mostly with victims and the law. I also live in Canada, where we do not have the DR and the best we do is have the convicted forever locked up....this is hard on the families, friends and communities. Karla Homolka for one is an ever present concern regarding early parole. I am a researcher, too and I like to get to the crux of the matter, so I will look into the other sites you've suggested. Thanks again and...... hang in there! (no pun intended )

Hi DL.
All I can say is that Bubbles can't speak for all of us. As for me, I am NOT a relative or family member of a victim and I DO research many cases. (This is in response to Bubbles saying- "Nor do these people generally "study" the cases."......."If they know about a case, it's because there's a friend or family member involved in that case. " )
I actually stumbled upon this website a few days ago, when reading about a future execution- which should take place Feb 5th of this year!! Luckily I found this website, but I have found it very hard to leave. The one responsible for this website (who I beleive is Charlene) has done a wonderful job. If you browse through the website, you can find links to what you may be looking for.
I've only been here a few days and I plan to be here a great deal longer. If you're still on here, drop me a message and maybe we can share our research.
Shelly ;D

Shelly, FYI. If you didn't know it, this site allows you to edit a post that you have submitted. Very handy when the punctuation results in a smiley face or when you want to change something. Just look for "modify" in the upper right hand corner of your post.

Thanks TRex!
It does tend to get a bit embarrasing when something comes out a different way then what you expected. Thanks for helping me fix my mistake. Greatly appreciated.

Shows that Canada is more civilized than its Southern neighbor...

I believe Harvey Glatmann (not sure if I spelled that name correctly, sorry)...was the boomstick killer you were referring to
