This was sent to me as a petition request, but since I don't have everyone's e-mails, I am posting the information here for protest letters.
If you want me to forward a copy to Billy's parents, I will be very happy to do that. Just send it to jbs471@excite.com as an attachment.
Thank you for any help in trying to keep these murderers locked away for as long as possible.
R.I.P. BILLY PAUL SMITH 2/3/87-3/1/04....LIVE ON.....FOREVER 17!! This is a Parole Petition to keep my son's killer and accomplice in prison for as long as possible. Billy Paul Smith was stabbed to death by Nolan Earl Drake when his friend, Josh and him confronted him robbing the neighbors car. The murderer was struggling with Billy's friend while Billy was calling 911. As Billy was talking to the 911 operator he told her to hold on.... within minutes he was laying dead in the street. Fred Netherton told us there were about 500 people at the funeral. Please take a moment to sign this with your address and phone number. My beloved son was loved by so many and will never be forgotten. The killer, Nolan Earl Drake, only received 15 years and the woman accomplice, Lucretia D. Devroe, got sentenced to 3 years, she had his precious blood on her. Devroe is already up for parole so we must hasten this. Sincerely, Billy Earl Smith, Father of Billy Paul Smith PLEASE Send to: The Texas Board of Pardons and Parole c/o Raven Kazen- Director TDCJ Victim Services P.O. Dear Raven Kazen, RE: Nolan Earl Drake #1330004 d.o.b. 1/16/1970 I wish to protest the early release of the aformentioned murderer, who stabbed to death Billy Paul Smith. Since public safety is the paramount factor in reaching a parole decision, the sheer brutality of this crime surely reveals a violent and dangerous nature and therefore, Drake's release would be a threat to all citizens. I urge that you consider this factor when making your decision.
Thank you for your consideration. ......................................................................................... Hopefully, it will make a difference.
