Just out of curiousity, I'd like to know how many letters got sent out so far on Julian Flores.
I sent one and I'm getting another ready to send tomorrow.
So.....2 for me so far.

Sorry Mamabear, I just now came back to this thread. Count on me. I'll get one out tomorrow. You may have had more directions in another post, but I have the link saved. I can send out letters very easily.

My letter went into the mail today, and I have printed a petition to take to my next support group meeting, and e-mailed the link to the info to let others know letters are needed. Keep 'em going out!!

If you really want to be the most effective (though I thought all the letters I read were excellant) it pays to look at a copy of the parole board manual, look at their criteria for parole and fashion your argument (letter) around it.
One of the things parole boards usually must do is determine if release will depreciate the seriousness of the offense, promote disrespect for the law or will jeopardize public welfare and that there is a reasonable probability that if released he would live and remain at liberty without violating the law or conditions of parole.
The fact that he could commit such a heinous crime and be released depreciates the seriousness of the crime. The fact that they would release him so soon promotes disrespect for the law The fact that he is a sadistic psycho pedophile killer lends one to believe he willl offend almost immediately.
If applicable, I would say at the time of the crime it had such a profound and negative effect on you, your children, your community and that you no longer felt safe and that you would never feel safe if he is released, etc.
The chances of this guy being released should be zero. These guys never think what they did is wrong so they avoid therapy in prison. They usually start it a few months before release thinking it is good enough to get them parole.

Blakely..... Do u have access to this list of criteria? If so would you please post it or let us know how to go about getting one? Excellent point, well taken and the kind of information we need...thanks again...i'd give you one of those "point" thingies but i think they are stupid... The morons at the CRAP (CCADP) board are really gonna be pisssed off when they know we are doing this. Oh well. You know what? They shouldn't be offended at all actually. They preach that they don't want them back on the streets, they just don't want them EXECUTED. 'Supposedly' their agenda is not to 'coddle a killer'----it's just to keep him from being executed. So, if they complain about these letters then they are admitting they are hypocritical liars!! In our letters we are not saying KILL 'EM, we are saying PLEASE don't let them back out on the streets on parole.

I will research it Monday....hopefully not the one I work at....I will write a letter if its not a conflict of interest but if it is...I will help anyway I can. I had a thought on this spur- If you really want to send a letter out, I think you could still do it anonymously. I mean say what you want to say and just sign it "A concerned Texas citizen and worried father", and don't put down a return address. You would still be voicing your opinion, yet not releasing too much info about yourself. I wouldn't want you to risk your job over this, so I don't blame you for being cautious. But, I just thought that this was a way to join in without it being a risk. Just an idea........

Another nice thing: I just saw on the POMC site that you can 'follow-up' on the results. In other words, we can check that site to see if his parole was DENIED or granted. That will be nice to see if our efforts 'may' have had any help. I'll keep a list of our 'mutts of the week' and see if I can update everyone on the results of their parole hearings.

I have been doing some searching, but maybe Char or someone else knows of a good site to find prospective 'mutts of the week' that are due to go before the parole board soon. I will keep searching, and I've found quite a few, but nobody just JUMPED out at my like Julian Flores did.

I just found a thread in off topic that depicted a PERFECT image of a 'mutt of the week'. It was posted by another poster, and I am grateful for them bringing this case to our attention. When I read it, it had only 3 replys, so not sure how many had seen it. Here it is: www.paroleblock.com/pbsarawestcrime.htmlWhat ya think guys....wanna add this bucket of puke to our list of potential 'mutt of the week' candidates? His parole hearing is not until January 2010 tho..... But I wouldn't wanna forget to include him.

Mamma, when you need help, just post something and let's get started....Again, instead of your 100 letters can you imagine the response when they get 10,000? For example, I sat an thought about this again after i wrote it and did a little math. In my immediate family alone I have 14, extended family 123, add friends and supporters, the number is close to 400. These are people that if i asked to spend 37cents on a stamp would do so in a new york minute. Now that's just me, so if you take you, the people around you and lets just say 10 other survivor victims on this board that you are friendly with...you are talking about almost 1500 letters, and that's a drop in the bucket...See how the snowball effect would work? I'm going to the post office today because I need stamps, and I'm going to get a roll of 100 and make those stamps only for parole board/political letters...I'll call it my "STAMP OUT A MUTT" file...LEt's get busy... Well, I just sent out another parole protest letter on behalf of my daughter. I have now sent over 450 letters! I have sent them for other mutts too, but my 'primary focus' is a slimy pathetic little parasite in texas. If anyone would like to send a letter to keep the 'pukebag' that killed my child in prison, let me know. I hesitate to publicize his name and info that is required in the letter on here, so feel free to PM me, and I'll send you his information. As Benty said------the more letters, hopefully the better response to our protest! I don't want him EVER EVER back out on the streets to hunt down another young woman. (or anyone for that matter) He hunts them down, he rapes, he sodomizes, he mangles, he brutalizes, he beats, he strangles, he butchers, and he considers no life to have any value----except his own. I have a hard time expressing my utter vile disgust with for that pathetic puke----there aren't words BAD enough. I still hate him with my whole being!!
