Whites more likely to be executed than Blacks.

Are Blacks really being executed with greater frequency than Whites? This year, 2019, there have been 22 executions in the United States. Fourteen of those executed were White, Seven Black, and one Hispanic. That’s an execution rate of 64% for Whites, 31% for Blacks, and 5% for Hispanics. Now, that may seem disproportionate for Blacks because they make up only 13% of the U.S. population but when one considers the fact that the homicide rate for Blacks in the United States is 53.1% compared to only 44.2% for whites then it looks like Whites are the ones who are being executed disproportionately.

I read this several years ago on a DPIC chart of all places. I'm sure there is a spin but anti's don't come here anymore.

The spin they typically use is the per capita, they claim that per capita, blacks are more likely to get executed for similar crimes than whites. Of course that stat is a lie. They deserve it because they committed a criminal act. Of course then they resort to external factors that the DP is mainly given to a poor client versus a rich or well off client, which they say is meant to target poor blacks. That of course is a lie as well.

If the DP is being applied differently based on race, that's an argument against it. It doesn't matter whether it's being used more on blacks or used more on whites. The fact that it is used disproportionately on one race makes it racist.

oslooker has perfectly explained the percentages. if and when THAT balances out, then we can play around with the 'racism' allegation. if anybody will ever take it seriously again.
