I was wondering if anyone has ever been proven innocent after they were executed.

Why not google your question. There are a few articles on the web about this subject

Why not direct him to accurate information instead of telling him to do an internet search where he will be inundated with false information?

I was wondering if anyone has ever been proven innocent after they were executed. Its hard to say someone is absolutely innocent. One name though: Timothy Evans. This is a British Case, but the scenario is understandable Timothy Evans was hanged in the 1950s for the murder of his wife and daughter. The key witness against him was his neighbour. The neighbour was later discovered to be a serial murderer. In fact at the time there were the remains of several victims buried in the wall of the property that Evans and this man (John Christie lived in). It was never proven that Evans was innocent. His own account of his actions were suspicious enough. However considering that Christies' testimony against him was severely compromised by his own arrest, simply the conviction could not stand even though Evans has been executed If you look in the details of Andrei Chikatillo who murdered 50 or so people in Russia around 20 years ago it is noted that several men were executed for murders eventually attributed to Chikatillo Can't think of any American incidences in modern history. But I believe there were a couple of pre 20th century executions were it was discovered the victim was alive after their convicted 'killers' were executed.

1. He wasn't executed, which was what the original question asked.
2. Echols pled guilty to first and second degree murders. You might try learning how to read and think critically.

Ignoring anything Piers Morgan says would be a good start.
