how many executions have there been in TN since 2000? I can't find this information anywhere

If you wanted to include any that were executed in 2000 (I'm not sure), then there would also be:
Robert Coe April 19, 2000
and that would be 5

No listing of executed inmates is complete without also listing the people they murdered....  Cary Ann Medlin, 8, who was kidnapped, sexually molested, strangled and stabbed to death by Robert Coe in September, 1979.  Suzanne Marie Collins, 19, who was a naval Lance Corporal, out for an evening jog in July 1985 when Sedley Alley grabbed her, threw her in his car, beat her, stripped her of her clothing, bit her breasts and then thrust a broken tree branch into her body between her legs, damaging her internal organs throughout the length of her body. For an example of collateral damage, you can find posts from Sedley's sister, who is a member here.  Stephen Edward Holton, 12; Brent Holton, 10; Eric Holton, 7; Kayla Marie Holton, 4 who were murdered in November 1997 when their father shot them to death with an assault rifle. Holton, who had not seen the children for months, picked them up for visitation, took them to a garage where he had earlier hidden the gun, and indicated to his older sons that he “had something for them” before lining them up and shooting them to death. He covered their bodies with a tarp so the younger children would not see them, then did the same thing to the younger two.  Police Lieutenant Ronald Oliver, 43, was killed in August 1981 while responding to a holdup alarm at a Wendy's restaurant. Ronald Oliver approached the robber as he was leaving the restaurant. Workman broke away from Oliver, who ordered him to stop. Lt. Oliver and Officer Aubrey Stoddard then grabbed Workman, who broke free again, shot Oliver once in the chest and Stoddard in the arm. Workman was found hiding in bushes nearby with the .45 caliber murder weapon. Workman admitted during his trial that he fired the shot that killed Oliver. Workman, who was shot himself, said he had been using cocaine that day and that he did not intend to kill Oliver. The robbery netted about $1,170. (no photo available) Fred and Edna Stafford were an elderly couple who lived nearby Steve Henley's grandmother. In July 1985, Henley and an accomplice robbed and murdered the Staffords. Both of them were shot, and their house was set on fire, burning to the ground. Fred's death was caused by the shotgun wounds and Edna's death was caused by burns and smoke inhalation. |

Thank you Charlene. I was the original poster in this thread. Arguing on a music msg board about the Christian/Newsom murders in Knoxville, TN.
The case has received almost NO media attention, but, because I follow Southern Rock, this case IS being talked about, although I've noticed a lack of the Nancy Grace contingent.
Breaks my heart watching the families news conference.
bless you all, I've been thinking about you all since this trial started. I've been watching it online and was sure that it was being talked about here.
