I'm writing an argumentative essay on why capital punishment is so valuable to our society. In my third paragraph I planned on arguing that it costs more to fund a criminal on LWOP than the death penalty. Unfortunately, I cant seem to find any statistics to support my claim. I've found just the oppostie to be exact. I was wondering if any could offer some help in finding this info. Thanks.

Thanks. statistics are so much like computers, garbage in, garbage out, that they are only used by people when they support whatever people want to be believe. if we hold people in prison for 30 years before executing, there may be an argument. if we could get them done in 1-2 years there can be no mathmatical argument. but the best answer I've seen posted here, and I forget by who, is simply "so?", it's not about the money.
