I think Fl used to let them out of the cells...or used an open bay, for well-behaved inmates. Not sure how they do things at Starke...

No...He is just an example. Now with "Atkins" every defence lawyer worth is salt is going to insist that his client is retarded. Or some other reason to slow the process to a crawl... If you go look at the earlier executions when they reinstated the dp the appeal process didn't take that long. John Spenkelink for example was first sentenced to death in 1976 and executed in 1979. Those were back in the good old days when things were done properly. And spenkelink, I heard rumors he was already dead when they put him in the chair.

My husband acutally knew Spinkelink once. He went to my husband's school for one year when my husband was in high school. He was two years older than my husband. I asked my husband what he was like and he said weird. They never hung out together or anything.

Here's the article: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Spenkelink It also says he was sentenced for a murder in 1973.

Well some of the meanings of capital are; first of importance or position, networth, advantage and gain. Maybe it has something to do with that.

I doubt that happened, I believe I read that he spent all his time in solitary confinement. There was a huge crowd there cheering for the execution. Bundy was universally hated in Florida. The other inmates hated him as well. I heard that he was gang raped several times in prison.

It's supposed to mean that people with capital (money) can afford decent lawyers and most likely wont get the DP. People with no capital get court appointed lawyers and almost always get the DP It's actually a very true statement.

I doubt that he got gang raped.
I saw a movie ( yes I know ) that showed him being really upset about having to shave and put on a diaper. I wonder if that really happened?
Electrocution can't be pretty. Has anyone seen one? I have what I think is an authentic video clip of one. Looks really gruesome. My best friend said it gave him nightmares.
I hope Bundy suffered. There was a HUGE showing in FL for his execution.
I would like to attend one of those someday just to see the spectacle.

The other inmates hated him as well. I heard that he was gang raped several times in prison. I don't know about that. Homosexual Child killer Arthur Goode was the most hated inmate on Florida DR, who was always beat up by other inmates, and since Ted Bundy was more cunning than the rest he always stole his cookies. It says that in my encyclopedia of serial killers.
