Pumpkin, thank you for sharing your precious memories of your dad and grandmother. He sounds like such a warm and wonderful father, and your grandmother was a very special and caring lady. The story about the Nutcracker - I can almost see that. You have a way with words, and I thank you for giving us a sense of who they are. Wickedly, thank you for the remembrance of all those who have protected us - they should never, ever be forgotten There is so much love in this thread, thank you again Euro for starting it, Janet

Thank you so much Heidi and Angelica. Yes the good memories are a blessing I don't know if I could go on without. I would not give up one second. It is too late to modify and add this one, so I am doing it here. This is Bethena and her big sister (Kay, this is the big sister you met when you were visiting). This is so cute but she scared me to death this day. The photographer got that huge smile out of her with a big stuffed animal. What I could never believe is that my hands were not in this picture. She leaped out of that chair towards the stuffed animal, and I caught her in midair. Heart stopping, but we got that love and joy in her eyes recorded for all time. I love you so much Bethena. Janet what a beautiful young lady and child. You must be so proud of the daughter who turned into a beautiful young woman. I am so sorry for your loss and pain, you are in my hearts and my thoughts. I agree with Claire. Thanks, JBS, for sharing your pictures and memories. Thanks again to Euro for starting this thread and all who have shared.

Euro, Shawni, Lynne, Claire, Angelica, Jamie, Heidi, Katie, Carolyn and Kay - Thank you so much for sharing these pictures and memories - they are part of what makes all of us who we are, and part of why we stand for what we do. I am slow with the scanning, but I hope these are done well enough that you can see her. These are ones that are not on her web page. Bethena Lyn Brosz 10/10/1981 - 5/3/2001 10th grade picture This is on her 18th birthday at her birthday lunch at Olive Garden, the day after her first nephew was born. We went to the hospital to visit her sister and nephew, and then we went out for her birthday lunch. happy baby laughing at her big sister Dressed up for Halloween as a flapper, her junior year in high school. Loves animals, stuffed or real either way. 3 years old, sleeping with Big Ted. She slept with him until she was 17. I still have Big Ted. Sometimes when my husband is gone working, I sleep with him now. One of many pix with family pets. She loved them all Hi mom, I'm playing in the snow in VA running home for dinner! I miss you, baby girl. I will always love you so. Janet... Bethana has been made so real to us and even more so now. I rarely cry about things I see online, but this thread has been hard. Bless you and everyone who's shared these precious gifts with us. Thank you, euro, for this thread.

I trust all the wonderful people on this board, but if someone wants to disrespect me or my father there going to no matter how hard I try to stop it. It felt good to share him with those that will respect him and understand that these pics are the very few things that I have left of my father.

Shawni, I am really proud that you posted those awesome pics of your dad. I have seen sooooo much nastiness on these boards, and I totally understand why you were reluctant. I am glad that you nevertheless chose to do so, especially because it is so helpful to put a face and a back story to murder victims. Again, I am proud that you won't let the psychos who lurk here intimidate you from showing us who your father was

Thanks to all of you who have participated in this thread, sharing memories of their loved ones or reminding us of those who's lives have been taken. Last but not least, thank you Thorsten, for coming up with such a wonderful idea. Sorry, lost for words, Mark

Our pictures of Dad and Grandma are from 1990 and before so none of them are on a CD, etc. But, my fiance has a scanner. Once I get upacked and organized, him and I will scan some and post them here. I'm planning to have an "unpacking day or party" or SOMETHING soon to get all this done. So I'll post them once all this is done.

OMG.....I can't believe I'm about to do this. I swore I would never post pictures of Nikki on here again...after her website was vandalized. The ONLY reason I did was because Shawni and Carolyn were brave enough to do it again. Unfortunately, I don't have many of Nikki's pictures downloaded onto the computer yet. I have zillions of pictures, but---that was before digital and computer...... I'm not sure how to do it, so I have only copied a couple so far. Nikki at 3 years old...... Nikki's Kindergarten picture... Nikki at Christmas time in school - 2nd grade Nikki when she was crowned Snowcoming Princess in High School... Nikki's senior year at college---MSU...... Oh how I miss my baby girl......

((((((((((((((((((((MamaBear)))))))))))))))))))))))))) Welcome back dear lady, and thank you so very, very much for sharing your beautiful Nikki with us. I cannot imagine a more brilliant smile on this earth, unless it would be the one that belongs to that fine lady from whom she inherited it. Much love to you, Janet

Thank you so much Shelli. Nikki is very easy to be proud of. Thank you Heidi, she was as beautiful inside as she was out. Oh my sweet Janet.....you are so nice to me. My smile is brought out on occasion.......But, Nikki's was permanent. She always found a reason to be happy and cheerful. (me----not so much) Thank you Charlene, Nikki has always been a cutie pie. P.S. I thought maybe the pictures were too big to really see well, but if you think they are ok....then ok. You guys are awesome, and YES....Nikki's brilliant smile definitely lit up a room. (even now when I look thru her pictures they even make me smile.......) Thank you so much Euro for starting this thread.....and bringing a smile to this old face again.
