I'd say he is in trouble. The LI issue has been dealt with the Tommy Lynn Sells execution. The fact he is a native Mexican was also dealt with earlier in the year.
On October 15, 1997, during the night time in Kerrville, Hernandez broke into the home of his employer, 49-year-old Glen H. Lich, and beat him to death with a metal bar. Hernandez then tied up Lich's wife and raped her repeatedly.
Hernandez-Llanas was sentenced to death in Bandera County in February 2000.
He also had an appeal going on his mental retardation. Don't know what happened with that one.

Because Texas no longer allows special last meals, the killer was served the same food as others in his unit. For his last meal, Hernandez-Llanas had chicken patties, mashed potatoes with country gravy, squash, navy beans, sliced bread, yellow cake with vanilla icing, and a choice of tea, punch, or water to drink.
