Forever couldn't I, you see all I have left is my imagination here, what she would be doing, how she would look, what she would sound like. I am not saying that to be pro death penalty you should have experienced loss to a killer at all, but sometimes I feel as though the only people who really get me from the inside out are those that have walked my lonely path. And shall I tell you where my ex is now Felix? Walking around the streets like life owes him everything. What should have happened to him never did because the UK is full of do gooders who argue against true justice. I shall now pull my sleeves back down, dry my tears and stand proud. I dotn agree with him being out of prison at all, and I dont agree that innocent human life is treated with any value in the UK system of justice, my only position is against the death penalty, I just think that argueing for it in a society liek the UK is a waste of effeort when they wont send people down for life for murder.

If I dare! #rolls up sleeves#. Felix I have been around the block on this board for about the same amount of time as you and yes I dare to challenge your delusions. I have to hand statistics that arent covered in anti *crap* to prove that the death penalty does in fact lower crime rates and proves that it acts as a deterrent. Please if you fancy some online humiliation be my guest and I shall provide them for you. The reason I say that someone who has been captured should receive the death penalty rather than life without parole is simple as simple can be, they took a life in cold blood, they should then have to give up theirs. Have a read of the moors murder transcripts, imagine that little girl begging for her mummy was your little girl, imagine having to hear that, hearing that played in your head for a lifetime, then tell me those that did it should get a cushy life in a cell, with exercise, television, three square meals a day, letters from scum pals, visits from friends, pets, eduction! come on Felix, now tell me who has lost touch with reality and the real world. My little girl would have been in her second year at senior school this coming September, thinking about her future, what she wanted to be when she grew up, a boy she may have a crush on, dancing around to Justin Beiber, testing her luck with makeup, snugging with me on the sofa after silly snowball fights, I could go on forev Well you inadvertently mentioned the crime of Hindley and Brady, the latter who survives at the the high secure hospital I have involvement with. As for imagining the details of that crime I dont have to, as I have had reason to acquaint myself with them. I sincerely hope the individual who ended your little girls life never again sees the light of day and I do not argue with you if you say the human rights charter in Britain is a criminals charter, I am aware it is. What prisons have you seen the inside of Eminey? Ashworth where Brady is for that matter is far from pretty on the inside, why do you think Brady isstarving himself and Sutcliffe trying every trick in the book to get out along with a myriad of other individuals whose names are not in the public domain? I keep hearing this fantasy about prisons being cushy and have yet to see one. The local one here? You must be joking, high secure in u t? Where is this prison in the UK that people keep talkign about, ok I know Norway is different, but I assuem you mean the UK? I have seen the inside of the htree high secure hospital and plenty of prisons, I jsut have not seen one I could in all honesty describe the way some pros lead other to eblieve exist. Okay Felix I shall try to answer all your points and questions. Yes I have seen inside several prisons, and let me tell you they are far better than the life of victims! My life was ruined, I had no life. Inmates in the UK get a hell of a lot compared to a lot of non crime committing people on the outside. I am sure there are many innocent people in the UK living in poverty who would love a warm bed , three square meals a day and a television. I refer to Brady and Hindley because I feel they would have been perfect candidates for the death penalty had it not just been abolished at the time of their conviction. Brady in my opinion is a media craver, hence his starvation ploy, and quite frankly he should rightly be force fed. The man is a disgrace to the human race and deserves all that is dished out to him. If he had any kind of remorse he would have confessed all to whinnie. I see that you are in fact a typical anti, you chose to answer post to best suit your argument, I notice you did not comment of my offer of statistics proving that the death penalty reduces murder rates and proves to be a deterrent.

You only have to look at the evidence to see that crime rate soared when the USA abolished the death penalty and they lowered again when it was reinstated ...... Duh rocket science!

Felix there was me thinking you were an intelligent man! Seems the couple of years I have been away your head has been filled with even more cotton wool and trips to la la land must have become more frequent. If you actually bother to dip your toes into some real statistics you will see since the abolishment of the death penalty here in the UK the crime level has risen and risen. When the death penalty was abolished in the states the crime level rose and when it was reinstated they dropped again, not quite rocket science is it even for a menopausal dame such as yourself! Felix, I have said this to you over the years and will continue to say it to you. Take a Long hard look at your children, wife, partner, mother, adored friend and think about their fingers being hacked off for a crack whore to get a ring, think about their fear, think about their torment, their thoughts, their last words in the world, all because someone wanted a quick fix. Imagine NEVER seeing that person again, never hearing their voice, never smelling them. Sometimes a piece of music will tip you over the edge, a smell of their favourite food in the air, the list could go on for ever. I don't know what will make you see sense Felix, I genuinely feel you are anti out of stubbornness sometimes, a cheap thrill of online banter, but if you were to ever god forbid experience someone like Kimberly in your life then I am sure your viewpoint would change. We euthanise dangerous dogs everyday to protect society, I don't see you campaigning for lwop for pit bulls and such like. Human rights have gone all too far, in my opinion they should be given up when you kill an innocent person. One last point that I will make to you Felix is admittedly yes I think a small iota for me regarding the death penalty is about rage, it is only natural after my experience, but let me tell you something I see it as a prevention. Prevention in ten times the cure Felix. By sentencing killers to the death penalty we are ensuring our society is a safer place. Well considering I currently hold and have held the forensic caseload for this area in one of the three high secure hospitals in the uk I rahter think its an acheivement to have remained as detached from the hard reality of this type of offender as your post seems to suggest. My life is far removed from cotton wool, theraputic settings and the cuddly other things you suggest inhabit my world. As for human rights my record there to date is a significant amount of lawsuits against me on the basis I have somehow professionally violated some individuals by argueing for their continued incarceration. So go right ahead Eminey and suggest for as long as you like that I do not inhabit the real world, I think you will struggle. Your post reeks of a lack of a grip on the fundamental truth and that is this, the only difference between me and most pros is simply I dotn think its neccessary to kill captured perps, suggesting I inhabit a totally different world in that sense is a very weak arguement. And yes whilst I have never thank God so far experienced a family member being killed and hope I never do, I have had a significant number of family members of victims thank me rather than curse me for my efforts. My next two lawsuits clash in April so the courts still have to decide which takes precedence. Coem back to me if you dare with a real arguement. I suppose I am odd to you in soem ways, particualrly in that I do the job I do without having had a close personal experience of such a loss being my motivator, but having acknowledged that I do see a wide range of offenders and sometimes that can provide a perspective wider than a limited personal one. And beside Felix... I wanted to remind you you yourself were in favor of the death penalty for the hooligans in YOUR country the U.K. who took a life of someone during their riotings.

I think you are confusing me with somebody else, I ahev never supported the death peanalty but do understand the use of lethal force in a case of direct self defence. To be frank Tookie was the only one to my mind that warranted death after incarceration if its true that he continued to direct hits on people from his jail cell. Im afraid you are very wrong if you think I supported the death peanalty for rioters.

Brady craves attention because his life is so dismal in his current setting, if it is the myth you describe do you seriously think that he and Sutcliffe would be trying to get out from under the mental health system they find themselves in? Brady is a pathetic inadequate which is why he went on to develop a desire to exercise the untimate in control over vulnerable others, and his price? A lifetime of being controlled instead where his every move is done with the permission of others. Brady would love you to ahve his way and give the the "out" he desires in order to escape a lifetime of the worst punishemnt he could imagine. As for remorse, asking a psychopath to display remorse is like asking Cali to make friends with fugly, - I dont see either happening in my lifetime! BTW, I am not attacking your being a pro, merely some of your arguements and nobosy has statistics that prove the death penalty is a deterrent, and many pros themselves admit that.

If the DP is not a deterrent, then why do so many fight tooth and claws to escape the law then the DP? Guess it may make GP inmates already incarcerated to think twice before murdering a guard or other staff member. Sure states w/o the DP do not have that advantage.

How can it deter when its carried out less than 100 times a year? Im thinking of throwing my lot in with the Antis I believe the "only time" the DP carried out" can deter is at the prison itself, for GP population. I hear it gets gloomy/heavy inside those walls showing this is serious. Otherwise the DP is a joke to them. Kinda like these nutjobs(murderers) love seeing signs no firearms allowed inside... chit !!!! I am sure they are going to put down the gun and walk away... I do believe even if only a handful now reach DR/execution itself, the DP is the right thing to do. Like I have on my facebook page. Sometimes, giving someone a 2nd chance is like giving someone an extra bullet because they missed you the 1st time. Well, that most surely should apply to murderers. Now that Chicago has the gun ban, look what is happening now. Highest murder rate, so I believe same will happen with no DP things will get out of control nothing to lose not a darn thing left to deter not really... I want stats to prove the DP does not deter "at all".
