Is there anyone out there who is familiar with the George Junius Stinney Jr. case? I would be interested to know what compelling evidence the State had against him.

He was an innocent Black child murdered by the state of South Carolina's white republiKKKan politicians. Sadly, the Trayvon Martin case shows how little progress has been made in this country when it comes to justice for minorities.

I have a DR documentary DVD at home. They only mentioned he confessed, they were more interested in discussing the shoddy job his attorney did.

I don't see what good it does to reopen the case. There are no documents of any sort except for newspaper reports written by the white media. Any witnesses of the time would be deceased or approachung their 80's.

So I take it you support the execution of an innocent 14 year old child? Or just the murder of minorities in general? Care to clear that up? I'm confused.

Sadly, the Trayvon Martin case shows how little progress has been made in this country when it comes to justice for minorities. There is no new evidence that he was innocent. There is simply no documentation available. In South Carolina in 1944, 14 yo's could be prosecuted and treated as adults and he was executed. There has been some progress, in that anyone under 18 cannot be executed. Personally, I'm not all that comfortable prosecuting juveniles as adults and giving them adult sentences of LWOP etc.

He was an innocent Black child murdered by the state of South Carolina's white republiKKKan politicians. You did NOT answer my question. So, once again, what compelling evidence did the State of South Carolina have against him? Please, spare me the emotionalism and just present the facts. Sadly, the Trayvon Martin case shows how little progress has been made in this country when it comes to justice for minorities. The Trayvon Martin case hasn’t even gone to trial. Therefore, such contention put forth by you at this time is premature and without merit.

These are the politicians that were serving at the federal level in South Carolina in 1944 when George Junius Stinney Jr. was executed. Remember they were elected by the people of South Carolina during the Jim Crow laws.
United States senators
D Burnet R. Maybank D Ellison D. Smith
In the United States House of Representatives
D L. Mendel Rivers 1944
D Hampton Fulmer 1944
D Bulter B. Hare 1944
D Joseph Bryson 1944
D James P. Richards 1944
D John L. McMillan 1944
Though these people had no control over his execution they were elected by the people of South Carolina. Not one republican was serving. How many, republicans, I wonder, were serving at the state level?

So I take it you support the execution of an innocent 14 year old child? Well, sure. You have reading comprehension problems, do you? Tough problems call for tough solutions, ne? Hope this helps. We know.

I think a true juvenile correctional institution, by providing opportunities that they have never had in life could have changed their path. Idealistic, I know.

All the racists moved to the republiKKKan party in the 1960's because they were so upset with LBJ getting civil rights laws passed. That is a FACT.

The FACT is that the 1964 Civil Rights Act only passed because Sen. Barry Goldwater rallied the Republicans to vote for and pass it. Most of the racist Democrats, including Al Bore Sr. and KKK Grand Wizard Robert Byrd voted against it.

You click Senate passed to see how the senators voted. Looks like we won't be hearing from Olive Oyl for another 6-8 weeks.

I don't care what lies you post. The republiKKKan party is the party of hate and racism. They have always rejoiced in the deaths of minorities that can't be disputed. Wherever there are fat white Christian men you'll find that same behavior

If Truman were alive today with the same beliefs he'd be a republiKKan. The Democratic party has changed drastically over the past half century. All the racists and loonies have switched over to the pubs.

Any law-abiding Black can walk through an all White neighborhood in perfect safety twenty-four hours a day, whereas, the reverse is not true. Also, be advised that there is no place in Black Africa where the population enjoys a standard of living equal to that of Black Americans; who, incidentally, live in a mostly White nation.
