Hello, I am a student researching the death penalty and your opinions would be extremely helpful to me.
1. First of all, what is your personal opinion on the matter?
DP should always remain an open option.
2.Is the death penalty a contradiction to the idea that "all men are created equal"? ( how can we determine if the taking of a life is worthy to be punishable by death?)
No the DP is not a contradiction, we are "born equal" what one does from there, as an individual they comes under the laws placed to all, as a society we are a part of.
3. Is the death penalty proportional to the crime of murder, does it actually deter murder?(or is it just revenge, an instinct to murder the murderers?)
Proportional to the crime by punishment of taken from society not safe to live outside in GP of society for a length of time.
If one murdered in a premeditated or heinous act, they have commited the altimate act to individuals or individual, one can do to another human being, they have reached the extreme of safety for anyone, the extreme of what can be taken from a person themselves, the right to life, liberty and happiness. No punishment for such an extreme is at that point appropriate except having to loose their life in a much more civilized method then the ones slaughtered were given for sure.
No it will not deter ones who murder, they think they will not be caught for one, when doing the murders they could care less, it is only have the murders and caught, they worry now for their live, how ironic is that?
4. Is the use of the Death Penalty setting a bad example of our law and juries, or is it making it more righteous and tough on crime?
A good example that society will not tolerant the taking of lives like they are worthless just for fun or because you just well damn want too for the hell of it.
. Is there an alternative(excluding life sentence without parole), or a moderation(what would you change about it) that you think would be better for/than the Death Penalty?
The alternative is to make decisions and facts fairly, sure of guilt is our responsibity, fairer trials for those w/o money and then if proven beyond a doubt stay with the sentencing, stop the bs that is were we look like fools trying to make appear as though they are the poor babys is sickening.
6. If there is no way to stop the use of the death penalty, what would you suggest to change about it?
Nothing really, no protesting allowed outside by antis, not appropritate time to voice that any longer.
7. Do you have to be a citizen to be executed?
No, if the one killed citizens in your own country is the countrys right.
8. Have you had any personal experiences that have shaped your opinion about this?
Many
This would be so helpful if you could reply back to these questions soon, (if you have any other opinions concerning this that would be amazing, also) thank you.
